If you don't want to know then go no farther but this is an account of how you lost the Akron game.
Game tied 67-67 about 5 seconds left. Akron running the shot clock down, takes a tough jumper that barely grazes the rim but falls directly into the hand of an unguarded Akron player underneath the hoop with nobody within 6 feet of him but the buzzer goes off and a whistle blows stopping play.
The Zebras huddle for nearly 5 minutes and agree that the ball hit the rim and the whistle should have never blown. Akron gets the ball back with 3 or 4 seconds left but instead of getting the wide open putback that would have ended the game in regulation they take a jumper that falls away.
Hello double overtime and a very solid under play goes down in flames.
Sorry for the bad news but wanted you to know that the under was a very solid play and should have cashed. One ref decided otherwise.
