Noticed you are on almost all the favorites and from past experience you gotta beware of the dogs in the tourney. Just some food for thought.

Good Luck!

not in the first round. The first round is usually where the
favs shine. Down the road is where we must watch out for
the dogs.

From Master Capper's tread:

Seed 1 vs Seed 16 ATS 10-10
Seed 2 vs Seed 15 ATS 8-12
Seed 3 vs Seed 14 ATS 12-7-1
Seed 4 vs Seed 13 ATS 11-8-1
Seed 5 vs Seed 12 ATS 7-12-1
Seed 6 vs Seed 11 ATS 11-9
Seed 7 vs Seed 10 ATS 9-10-1
Seed 8 vs Seed 9 ATS 10-10

Based on this, the top seeds are 78-78-4 based on games from 99-03.

Not questioning picks, just thought it was interesting all doochuck's picks but one were favorites.

Good Luck!!!!

Good luck on the picks but I hope Mich St hits for sure. I have a huge wager pending on them as well.

jedi please explain what your numbers have to do with him picking favs? 78-78-4 is exactly that. It doesn't show that if you had picked the lower seed you would have won. your numbers do not take into acct who the fav was anyway. From what I have seen doochuk always plays more favs and is UNREAL at picking out when the fav will cover.

doochuk picked

1 six seed
2 seven seeds
1 eight seed
1 nine seed
1 ten seed

what do I care. gl doochuk.

JCB, all I was saying is favorites don't necessarily "shine" in the first round. Since 93 they are 50-50 ATS in the first round. That said, I'm also on MSU, Arizona, and Louisville.

Doochuk, I like reading your treads and think you are one of the better cappers in here. Didn't mean any offense, I was jsut pointing something out. Thanks for sharing your pix and good luck in the tourney.

:)

no problem Jedi

out of 32 games i pick 5 favs and 1 dog on the moneyline......i just look at the game's and pick out the one's i feel are strongest regardless........ ..Since 93 you said the favs have been covering 50-50........so that means 16 favs on the average cover...well i am banking picking 5 out of those 16........good luck to you and all the rest of the madjacks crew......would be nice if everyone cleaned up on the books right before bases kicks in

doochuk, I look forward to cleaning up with you come Stickball time, I have a reputation to withhold amongst my peers. Owner of the legendary 18 straight wins from Friday to Sunday in 2002. 2003 was equally as kind...teams to watch this year and early lines to jump on.

Tigers +1.5...daily...very scrappy bunch with a major league lineup..should be +$$ most times

Padres to win the West

Indians to win the Central

Yankees unders..have a feeling their o/u's will be overhyped...last year Ranger overs were not consistent and the Yanks pen will shut teams down 7-9 innings.

A's unders...can't score, can pitch, Rhodes will drive them crazy at the end of games..Harville will be closing by June.

One last team to watch and to wager against religiously this year is Kansas City...too sexy of a team, NO pitching, MacDougal is another Koch, Looper type and Sweeney breaks down. A GREAT over team this year...they can flat out rake.

GL, Doochuk! We're on the opposite of most of them, but at least one of us will win!!

CapMan, agree with your assessment of the Tigers, should have some nice pricetags all season long, and runline never hurts. I'll probably be playing them straight, though...

Take a look at Tampa Bay, too. I think they've got a legit shot at making the Wild Card--yes, even in the AL East--and won't get nearly the line respect they deserve...expect them to pick it up a notch or two, and win those 1 run games this season...
