Was offered
Felix Jones and David Nelson for
Brandon Lloyd and De Angleo Williams
Its a PPR league and have to start 3 WR which means i will have to play Nelson..
I can withstand the Jones injury cause I can start Hightower and F jackson.. Would like to add Felix as I think he is much better option than DeAngelo plus i think he gives me more depth..
Am I giving up too much in Lloyd? What do you think Nelson's long term value is??
Will sleep on it
my 2 cents....
Here's the deal, no, do not make the trade.
First of all I'm assuming you drafted LLoyd as a 2nd wr. And I'm assuming Nelson was picked up off the waiver wire. I can never justify trading a 5th-6th rd or so pick for waiver pickup. I do expect Nelson to put up good numbers but again he's done it for how long? There is a reason you liked Lloyd when you drafted him. I can't let 2 weeks dictate chasing the "hot pickup" especially when you have a proven guy. If you had got him off the waiver wire, then hell yeah nice to have him on your team, but this isnt the case.
Lloyd loves Orton and was extremly vocal in him being the starter over Tebow. Although I personally didn't think Lloyd could duplicate what he did last year, he'll put up solid numbers as Orton's 1. And Denver will have to throw the damn ball against the afc west as opposed to a much more challenging afc east. Weather is a lot better towards the end of the year as well in sd, oak, not sure of the schd but its got to be better than the northeast.
DeAngelo will get his. Once defenses start to adjust to Cam's ridiculous ability that he has shown so far, holes will be created and D Will will be fine.
Felix on the other hand, always hurt it seems and I have a funny feeling Demarco Murray becomes a lot more important the further into the year we get as he becomes adjusted to the boys offense. (DeMarco is a deep sleeper to me)
Long story short---Keep your guys! When you trade, trade from strength or "buy low--sell high" mentality. Lloyd and D will are low with Lloyd injury and Cam's ridiculous 1st 2 weeks. Nelson's stock is through the roof, not sure how much higher it would go and you think Carolina has a rbbc, Dallas' rbbc is ridiculous.
