This story of the new zealand weightlifter who is losing a spot on Olympic team to a transgender woman kills me. I?m all for equality by race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, gender, et al. As such, I want transgender people go have the same rights as the rest of us. But, I do not understand why transgender women are allowed to take titles and spots on teams from biological women. No way do I fault transgender who want to compete, and I understand that there aren?t enough transgender women to form separate leagues, but no way can I stand behind would-be olympians losing a spot to a transgender woman.

It depends on the sport, if it is a sport like say Archery or Equestrian then it doesn't matter because those sports don't really involve strength and speed to that much of a degree. But if it is a sport like say Triathlon or Wrestling then I say no because speed and strength play a huge factor.
