Traveling Cancun to Vegas...or stampede to vegas....any ideas?

A friend and I are debating flying to Cancun, traveling through mexico and flying back from vegas in 20 days, or flying to stampede in Calgary to Vegas back here to Toronto.....Was wondering if anyone had any great stories or ideas of things to see/do in Mexico during the journey. I can hit stampede any year, just need some ammunition for persuading my buddy to do Mexico instead. Thanks in advance fellas :mj06:

I've been to Mexico many times and all I can say is stay where the tourist are.............I wouldn't get to far off the beaten path.

I just returned from Mexico last week. While we were there they found 3 bodies in Rosarito beach and the heads in Tijuana.....all cops!

That being said, I felt fairly comfortable everywhere we went, which was only the main restaurants and bars. Plus we stayed pretty close to the border....Ensenada, Rosarita, Tijuana, etc.

As "Boys mentioned, I wouldn't mess around too much in the boonies.

stay away from vegas also...you will got shot here too if u wander off too far.

hell, you dont even have to wander off, they'll shoot ya right on the strip!!!!

and if the gangs dont get ya, the cops will!!!
