Great fans, magnificent stadium...first class views.
The TV experience is second to none.
We got there 2 hours before kickoff, lots of entertainment, tailgates.
Roof and doors opened about hour and half before kick.
Parking, by permit at stadium...heard it was about $200.
Parking and tailgate about a quarter mile away $35.00
We parked ($20.00) and had good Tex-Mex dinner at Marques Mexican bakery half mile from stadium.
(Dinner for 2-$18.00)
Beer at stadium was $8.50. Millers pints was shelved at 25 degrees.
Hot Dogs were $7.50, water, pop $5.00
Popcorn, free refills $10.00
They had upscale food available "Braised short rib tacos, gourmet pound burgers" never saw where they were sold from or how much.
We had nose bleed seats section 411 (30 yard line way up with oxygen masks)...really a great view..I saw no horrible seats.
Upon entering, we climbed up hundreds of steps to get to level 4...I cursed Jerry for no escalators. upon leaving, we found perimeter winding exits with no steps, MUCH easier on the body.
Pro shops..$24.00 for cheap cowboy Tee shirt, did not look further.
I truly felt sorry for the Cowboy fans, 95% of the crowd had team jerseys on, Romo, Witten, Classic Staubach, etc, TRUE FANS, yet they endure an average at best team.
There was a good sprinkling of Bear fans, VERY vocal when it mattered.
One comment in the restroom summed up the unspoken sentiment..
A large 20 something fan with a Romo shirt was at the urinal next to me.
As I was leaving, he bellowed to the world..
F**K ROMO.
Next day after stopping at Trader Joes in Plano, we stopped for Barbecue (Mesquite smoked of course)
At the restaurant The TV was on with the noon news and the headline was "OH NO, ROMO"
I think Jerry Jones will in years, compare favorably with Al Davis.:142smilie
