Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Great fans, magnificent stadium...first class views.

The TV experience is second to none.
We got there 2 hours before kickoff, lots of entertainment, tailgates.
Roof and doors opened about hour and half before kick.

Parking, by permit at stadium...heard it was about $200.
Parking and tailgate about a quarter mile away $35.00
We parked ($20.00) and had good Tex-Mex dinner at Marques Mexican bakery half mile from stadium.
(Dinner for 2-$18.00)

Beer at stadium was $8.50. Millers pints was shelved at 25 degrees.
Hot Dogs were $7.50, water, pop $5.00
Popcorn, free refills $10.00

They had upscale food available "Braised short rib tacos, gourmet pound burgers" never saw where they were sold from or how much.

We had nose bleed seats section 411 (30 yard line way up with oxygen masks)...really a great view..I saw no horrible seats.
Upon entering, we climbed up hundreds of steps to get to level 4...I cursed Jerry for no escalators. upon leaving, we found perimeter winding exits with no steps, MUCH easier on the body.

Pro shops..$24.00 for cheap cowboy Tee shirt, did not look further.

I truly felt sorry for the Cowboy fans, 95% of the crowd had team jerseys on, Romo, Witten, Classic Staubach, etc, TRUE FANS, yet they endure an average at best team.

There was a good sprinkling of Bear fans, VERY vocal when it mattered.

One comment in the restroom summed up the unspoken sentiment..
A large 20 something fan with a Romo shirt was at the urinal next to me.
As I was leaving, he bellowed to the world..
F**K ROMO.

Next day after stopping at Trader Joes in Plano, we stopped for Barbecue (Mesquite smoked of course)
At the restaurant The TV was on with the noon news and the headline was "OH NO, ROMO"

I think Jerry Jones will in years, compare favorably with Al Davis.:142smilie

Was surprised to hear on Mike and Mike this morning that since '96 or '96 they are 121-121.

Jerry Jones

I had the Cowboys last night because I hate the Bear Oline when they go on the road, but then it sounded like there were more Bear fans than Cowboy fans. . . Was that how it was?

It was truly about 50/50 in my section (243). Enjoyed the win with many fellow Bear fans......:toast:

I am also a Gbay fan, made pilgrimage to Lambeau 2 years ago....also like da' Bears.

The popcorn came in a genuine paper souvenir cowboy "tub"
For $10, I think I could fill my bath tub full of popcorn.

Sorry no pix, I am 62 and technology (for the most part, has left me in the dust).

Did see quite a few Illinois License plates on the freeway home next day....they must travel very well.

I find it odd that one can be a Bears and GB fan. Being a Redskins fan I despise the Cownomos more then anything. I just dislike the Giants and Beagles but pure HATRED for the Girls.

Not being a GB or Bears fan, I will attest that Packers fans are the classiest NFL fans I've come across in my handful of games I've gone to at Lambeau. Also I'm guessing part of the GB fans being fine w/ cheering for the Bears when they aren't pitted against eachother is due to how much the Pack has owned Chicago recently.

Glad you enjoyed your time here.

Wish I would have seen you were coming I could have recommended a few restaurants to you.

Been to the stadium twice.. To be honest Im not crazy about it. It is so damn big it doesnt seem to get very loud. Either that or they have simply priced out the loud drunks. We sat pretty low and the crowd had more of a corporate vibe.

And even though we sat pretty close you still find yourself watching that damn big screen. I found myself annoyed with it after a bit cause I can watch TV at home.

I dont know as bad as the cowboys are Ill watch them on my big screen.

I have only been to NFL stadiums twice to see my 'Skins play. Candlestick which was ok and the LA Coliseum when the Raiders were there. Let's just say CLASSY just doesn't apply to the second.

Eagles fans are the worst.

My one game there I was warned you would do that, so I had to constantly make sure I wasn't worried about replays and just watched the action on the field. Very easy to get distracted by it though.

DM, how was Trader Joes? If it's the new one in Plano on Preston Rd. it's right around the corner from me. I've never been to one and really don't even know what it is.

What bbq place?

Gibb, I have no clue but I do know that everyone has asked me if I've been yet. Nobody has ever asked me if I've been to the dollar store so I assumed it was something cool.

Eagles fans are the worst.

Totally agree, most Eagle fans I ran into at football games are absolutely obnoxious and mean to the other teams fans (like wanting to fight mean). Been to a few Redskins Eagles games up here. I can't stand either team but I still like to go see a football game if I have (or friends are giving away) the tix.
