Can anyone tell me which game was his first at Middle LB for the Eagles? Have heard their run defense really stepped up after he moved in and want to look at the stats.

Thanks,

Regained his spot as a starter on November 15th, which was week 9 vs Dallas. He really burned his bridges when he left, said a lot of things about Andy Reid and his teammates when he departed for Washington, so he had to play half a season on special teams to prove that he wanted back on the team and had to earn his spot back at middle linebacker. Obviously the pick ups this summer of Owens and Kearse grabbed the headlines but I think this one might have been the most important for the Eagles this year, considering how cheap they got Trotter.

Can't even start to talk about the difference of the defense since he replaced Simoneau in the middle.

As a die hard skins fan :cursin: :cursin:
But we never had the scheme around him to get him at this level. He was a huge steal, might be tougher to sign him for that amount now though. Was it trotter that hit Eli Manning like a truck in the early game against the giants. I know he took some serious flack for hammering some kicker on special teams. The guy hits like a truck. All is not so bad in DC, skins had a good defense without him and Peirce played great in his role.

Yeah, he's the guy that killed Feagles in week one. Trotter plays with such a downhill mentality and gets so wound up he'll hit anything in site, this year when I was at training camp I saw more than a few Eagles pissed off from the hits he was laying in practice. I hope the Eagles resign him, obviously won't be as cheap as this season, but I think they have a good shot of keeping him. Both sides realize they need each other in this situation, Eagles are drastically better against the run with him, and he's a much better player in JJ's system where he's allowed to just bust through the line full bore.

Eagles defensive stats in meaningful games since week nine:

269 ypg
89 rush ypg
11.8 ppg

wow, pretty impressive. Although, the competition was pretty week. 8 games. Dallas twice, Washington twice, NYG. Did include games vs GB, Minny and ATL. However, no AFC opponents.

Both teams have a top 10 offense and defense, so these are applicable:

Philly D vs top 10 offenses (in meaningful games):

3 times (MIN, GB, MIN) 15.6 ppg

NE D vs top 10 offenses:

5 times (IND, SEA, STL, KC, IND) 17.6 ppg

Philly O vs top 10 Defenses:

4 times (WAS, WAS, PIT, BAL) 15 ppg

NE O vs top Ten defenses

9 times (BUF 2, NYJ 2, MIA 2, PIT 2, BAL) 26 ppg

Blend em and you get:

NE 20.5 PHI 16.5

Under anyone? To be honest, not sure why anyone thinks Philly will be able to put up enough points to get this game over the total.
