Was at the game.......

1) Scored in about 90 seconds on opening drive. Looked very sharp early. Were not able to get any pressure on QB throughout the game.

2) 2 Bad interceptions including one that was returned for TD. First INT lead to field goal that gave BG the lead.

3) Run Defense looked good. Corners were soft. Supposed to have NFL level Ends who got very little pressure. Did play without MLB and CB who were suspended.

4) Offense couldn't run the ball at all. WR's made plays all night long. O-line fell apart down the stretch vs. very inexperienced BG Dline.

5) BG has talent, but has been poorly coached for several years. New coach and new schemes probably made prep for this game difficult.

BG could be pretty good MAC team this year.

I didn't see it but studied the play by play log this morning.

It looked to me like Troy had great success throwing underneath early. I remember that at one point that their QB was something like 17/18 early on. Still, they couldn't run the ball at all and had no balance.

It appeared the BG made some nice adjustments on defense and also moved the ball very well on their own. Can not say for sure but it looked to be a nice coaching job in Clawson's debut.
