FIREMEN rescue an inflatable damsel in distress after a lorry full of sex toys burst into flames on the M6.
Hundreds of blow-up DOLLS, plastic BREASTS and WHIPS caught fire when the truck?s brakes overheated at 4am yesterday.
Police closed the motorway for four hours near Great Barr, Birmingham, as six fire crews battled the blaze on the northbound carriageway.
When it re-opened, amused drivers slowed down to watch firemen and cops carry inflated dolls from the lorry, which had also been carrying ten tons of paper.
One motorist on his way to work said: ?I couldn?t believe my eyes. There were firemen walking out the back of this lorry with dolls under their arms. It was like an episode of Only Fools and Horses.
?I don?t know much about these things, but I wouldn?t have thought the dolls were all shipped ready inflated.?
Firefighters were thought to have blown up some as a joke.
One said: ?Seeing officers walk about with blow-up dolls under their arms brought a smile to our faces.?
