At times, it seems like Donald Trump is a superhero.
Well, the resemblance doesn?t end there. Now that Trump is running for president, an incident from November of 1991 has resurfaced in which The Donald actually had his limo stop so he could save a man from a savage beating by a thug with a baseball bat.
According to the New York Daily News (via Philly.com), Trump and then-wife Marla Maples were in his limousine, headed out to New Jersey?s Meadowlands for a Paula Abdul concert (look, it was a while ago).
At about 8 p.m., before the limo entered the Holland Tunnel, Trump saw ?a big guy with a big bat? swinging away at another guy.
?Someone in the car looked over and said, ?Gee, look at that, it?s a mugging,?? Trump said. ?I said to my driver to stop the car because it was brutal-looking.? He got out of the car, with Maples tugging at his coat to get him to stop.

When New Jersey Senator Cory Booker uttered a long social justice rant during Jeff Sessions? confirmation hearing yesterday, many viewers felt it was grandstanding.
Former Newark Mayor Cory Booker was hailed as a hero and made national headlines when he saved his neighbor from a house fire in 2012. Two of the longtime neighbors of the rescued woman, Zina Hodge, staunchly maintain the Cory Booker fire rescue hero story is fake, the Daily Caller reports.
The old pals also noted Hodge has a lengthy criminal record and that she is NOT to be believed.
Zina Hodge was allegedly rescued from her home during a kitchen fire by then Mayor Cory Booker in April 2012. Booker was quickly heralded as the ?superhero? mayor by the mainstream media.
According to Booker?s accounting of what happened, he went into the burning building from inside his own property next door but only after breaking the restraint of a police officer attempting to prevent him from endangering his life. Cory Booker claims he threw Hodge over his shoulder to carry her to safety.
When Booker appeared on Oprah Winfrey?s show, he said he sustained second degree burns. The New Jersey mayor also added he had a ?come to Jesus? moment when he felt he might die in the fire with Zina Hodge.
The neighbors and community activists, Cassandra Dock and Donna Jackson, gave a detailed report of exactly why Cory Booker could not have rescued Zina Hodge the way he says the incident unfolded. Dock also said Hodge laughed when confronted about the massive holes in her Booker hero story.
?I don?t believe he went in there,? Cassandra Dock said. ?I don?t believe he saved her. I don?t believe he put her over his back and brought her out. First of all, the hallway is too narrow for both of them to fit through that hallway, so I don?t believe none of that.?
Dock continued, ?Laughing every time when we had the conversation about the fire and how it happened she just chuckled, which leads me to believe that none of it is true. I said to her ?Zina do not go on Oprah and allow him to continue with this lie.??
