Trying something different(The "They're gonna kill 'em" Inmate Selections inside

Working is a prison cellblock nearly 64-72 per week I talk sports with a lot of Inmates to help pass time. These guys do nothing but read, sleep, eat, and breath sports (for gambling purposes mainly). You have your typical jail-house "bookie" that puts out a PICK-4 Parlay ticket with 10:1 odds. The bookie will put a select number, usually 8-10, high profile college games on one slip, then all the NFL games on a separate one. Every week while b/s ing with these guys about sports trying to kill a 16-hour work day, I get the "They're gonna KILL 'EM consensus picks of the week. This is something I'll try to add to the board if for nothing else than entertainment. Keep in mind we're dealing with inmates serving a range of single-digit days to 25+ years.

Tonight's "They're gonna KILL 'EM Inmate selection???
You guessed it: MIAMI HURRICANES

On one parlay slip today I saw Miami favored by 30 points??? If only my bookie would be so kind.

They could afford them

They could afford them

think of the probability of hitting a 4-teamer when Bubba is jacking up lines by 4-5 points when he knows how in love people are with favorites. That's a lot of commissary. I love fading these guys when they start talking about their picks. Their resources are so limited.

"The warden threw a party in the county jail.
The prison band was there and they began to wail.
The band was jumpin' and the joint began to swing.
You should've heard those knocked out jailbirds sing.
Let's rock, everybody, let's rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock."

No, no, no........

"The bookie ran a parlay in the local joint,
Jacked up all the chalk by a couple of points.
If you didn't have enough smokes to pay the man,
He'd bend you over the john and punk you in the can.

That sucks..........man, that really sucks.
You can't pay the bookie in the block?
You'll be dancin' on the end o' his c*ck!"

When "Bubba" collects, you get the 'juice'!

My son use to be a jailer before becoming a cop. Always had to laugh when he told me all they ever wanted to watch on tv was Cops. I guess they were trying to learn not to make the same mistake when trying to get away.;)
