hi tig3rs, have a question about matchbook. Once you place a wager, can you go in and cancel it or change the amount before the game starts? Just curious since you said you were downgrading the samford play, unless you had not placed it yet? Thanks!
DU, sign up, put some dough on, fool around with it, just using it you'll realize the benefits and the inner-workings... it's pretty awesome.
today's example... i had wagered on kansas -10 at -102 (for this example we'll use the simple "to win $100" wager, so $102 to win $100)... a little while later--while the line was ticking up in vegas and everywhere else (it's now up to -11.0 at +107/ ga tech +11 -108)--as more money was being wagered on kansas and less on ga tech... the market had kansas available at -109 and ga tech at +113.
recognizing the opportunity, i wagered "to win $100" on ga tech, profiting $.095 on every dollar... paying $88.5 to win 100, right? so now i have $2 at risk to win $11.5 (hence the $.095/$1 profit). then, i went back and wagered on kansas "to win $100," so risk $109 to win $100--keep in mind, that each move here with matchbook, it calculates your max. risk and that's all you have to worry about, it's not multiple wagers that have to wait til the end of the game to payout--so now i'm risking $111 to win $111.5... changing my original odds from -102 to +100.45.
big deal, right? well, come on... at a bookie you're gonna pay -110, right?! i'm getting + odds on my kansas bet tonight! that saves juice on losing bets and has less money at risk for winning bets.
if you're diligent and willing to watch lines and are good with the math, you'll love matchbook!
