NORTHWESTERN moneyline +190

Love the home dog tonight as I can see this Wildcat team winning this one outright. Both teams opened on the road, but DePaul turned the ball over 18 times and weren't very competitive in a 20-point loss at Bradley. They're a poor free throw shooting team that lacks decent overall speed. And while they have four starters back from last year's 12-win team, their bench is both thin and banged up. They didn't shoot well in Bradley gym and they won't in Northwestern's.

The Wildcats are young, but several newcomers including frosh Kevin Coble and transfer Jason Okrzesik, looked impressive in their three-point season-opening loss to visiting Cornell. Underarated Wildcat coach Bill Carmody likes this team and Northwestern, which beat visiting DePaul by four two years ago, plays tough at home. Bradley had some success zoning against the Blue Demons the other night and I don't think DePaul will be able to consistently hit outside shots tonight at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Northwestern wins this crosstown battle outright.
