Made some early plays and have been studying some other options, but can't seem to pull the trigger--holding back from Phillies, Indians, Angels, tigers and a few totals that made me go hmmm...

PlAYS

braves -108 0.54/0.5
brewers -116 0.69/0.6
reds -110 0.68/0.62
d'rays -115 0.69/0.6

jays@'Sox un9.5 -120 0.6/0.5

--simply prefer the Braves offense. May be risky with Glavine coming off the DL, but the Braves have done good work vs Redding before. Offensive disparity makes the line appealing.
--same risk with Sheets, though he avoided the DL. I'm not convinced that Marquis can keep up the good work.
--Pineiro has faced nobody significant (Giants twice and Pitt) and still has an era over 5. Cards O has gone to bed the past couple of weeks. Cueto way cheaper then the last time he took the mound. Looks like Cuzzi will be umping and he's a pretty decent under-lean, for any considering that--bullpens decide it and the Cards have the edge.
--Hammel may be overachieving but I think he has better stuff than Sonnanstine, for the Rays. Olson does not promote fear. Rays offense underrated. Rays did great work vs lefties last season and prefer them so far in '08 (by some of the numbers).
--Passing on the Halladay plunge, for more reasons than we have time for here. Jays smoked lefties last year but have been a joke vs them so far in '08. Expecting a 5-4 or 4-3 kind of game. Halladay likely another hard-luck loss (over/under on Doc's innings pitched is 7.1 innings--anybody want a job as Jays manager?).

One more note--looks like Gibson is umping the Angels game, and he's a decent over-lean. Can't seem to pull the trigger but, man, are the A's ever hitting this season (and preferred lefties in '07). Couple of tough lefties keeping me silent.

Hoping to get my system in gear come May. Learned from last season that April can be a little tricky for it. Even May, but I think I know how to tweak it for greater accuracy. Will likely give it a shot. Stay tuned:weed: .

P.S.
Try the Red Wings, perhaps--looks better than anything I've posted here.
