Fletcher, on Baseball and on Basketball, thats a very good thing to do, to double your money until you win or at least broke even, specially taking a dog, I believe you have a very good chance to win 1 out of 3, but let me just say this to you, one very good friend of mine do that shit I believe 2 years ago playing the atlanta hawks, he start with 250 and he lost over 32 k, you should have seen his face on every game since the 2 k play (he only afford to back his team 8 or 9 times, and they lost 11 times ATS), now this guy doesnt even have the minimium amount to bet (10 dlls Im not kidding, he doesnt have a job). But I guess that starting with 1 unit and with only 3 games to go, it cant happen to you. Good luck, but I hope you win until the 4th game, cause tomorrow Im all over giants.

What do you guys think about the angels losing their DH tonight?

Livan is one of the better pitcher/hitter out there. His average is pretty good.

Livan tends to give up runs early....but he's undeafeated in the post season.

What can i say about F-Rod..? Simply awesome. Now this guy is what you call fearless...

Not totally sold on the Angels set-up guy
Rodriguez......

I've watched him carefully in the other series and he's
given up runs when there are runners on base.

Meaning.....he'd not as dominant pitching from the stretch..

His motion and pitching mechanics are generated from ATOP
the rubber. Watch him throw - don't follow the ball...Watch him.

He tends to work harder...pitching from the rubber....
Everything seems to be a GENERATED MOTION.
When he's on the rubber - he's worried about that HIGH leg kick
so he tends to overthrow - think they are gonna steal on him.
EFFECT: he's been wild in those instances.

The problem here is...first you gotta get on base...
and RALLY to beat this guy.....

I have to completely disagree with your take on Rodriguez.

He has given up 2 ER this postseason and even those weren't really "earned runs". Gil made the throwing error on the double play attempt that should have ended the inning and then Soriano hit a HR on a good pitch.

As for the inherited runners he allowed to score in game 5 vs. the Twins, you could see that coming from a mile away. The kid was pitching in his 3rd game in 3 days and was a starting pitcher until midway through this season so his arm wasn't accustomed to that type of stress.

If Ortiz gets through the first 2 innings, he will settle down, if not Angels will have to burn a lot of their pen tonight and play from behind which they can do.

Angels for 2 units.

Stress - Smress

The kid is 20 years old....and you're making excuses ?

Soriano hit the two run homer....FROM THE STRETCH

Also- the Yankees hit him in game four....FROM THE STRETCH
Till Nicky Johnson grounded out with the bases loaded

And he was wild...FROM THE STRETCH in that Twin game

Otherwise he's been lights out.....

I believe - if you can get a guy on - you can get to him...

His motion is fluid....generating through....
....simliar to a a very small - I mean small - running start

Just look for it....

bottom line, just roll with fletch... love the ANA call against hernandez. 6-0 postseason, with that ERA, does not last forever. also, the SF batting avg. against righties. not to mention the post season average of the ANA lineup. looks like the SF bullpen may not be a factor if ANA continues to get to SF early. which, unfortunately for my anxiety levels, was not the case in Gm 2.

fyi, ran with the BIG BET on sunday and left the house to see a movie. did not want to risk high stress by watching that game. what a gem to see that final when i walked in the house. the box score was a guaranteed heart attack! but, the end result is what counts. so, got red dragon viewing under my belt while increasing the bankroll!

you're the goods e!

So Cal
Yeah, I really don't like Frankie Rodriguez either. He hasn't shown a thing at all during the play-offs. It is obviousl that he has just been lucky - no talent at all. I suspect he'll be released after the series and doubt if anybody will pick him up. And what about that Bonds guy on the Giants? Sure he hits for power, but his fielding leaves alot to be desired. He sucks too - just like Rodriguez. I have been watching that Bonds fellow and he takes alot of balls that he could swing at.

So Cal
Fletcher - that is a fitting end to a great and hugely profitable baseball season. Keep tossing those winners out!

Who the hell are you to call me a clown ?

Huh ? Punk ass ....

The kid is 20 years old....and you think he's Mariano Riveria.

Yes- he's been dominant

WITH NO MEN ON BASE.....

Put a few runners on ...and you can get to this guy.

ALSO - he has a fresh arm....

This kid hasn't even pitched a full season yet.

Kid has great stuff...

PROVE IT TO ME...OVER A FULL SEASON...

See my point ?
Cause if you don't ...I'll be fading all your picks.

That includes you Ferdy....

Can't we all just get a bong?

Can't we all just get a bong?

Fellyas,
It is quite possible that you're both on to something here.

FrankRod is disgusting. Wicked. Nasty. SICK!!

He has also shown signs of wildness with runners on base. Hell, I'm still boggled by the fact that Slick Nick Johnson was up there hacking after watching a 20 year-old, in his first postseason, agianst the Yanks no less, load the bases with 5 straight balls. Nick, what were you thinkin' bro, you're not Teddy Williams. :thefinger

So, there we have it.
Yes, he's been a bit wild pitching from the stretch, and yes he's absolutely a machine.

Is San Fran's only shot at rattling him to get runners on?
Possibly.

Can they even get runners on, assuming he hasn't inherited any?
Maybe.

Is this a rather stupid debate?
Quite certainly.

I'm loving Anaheim again tonight, especially getting the cheese again. +120 it looks right now. After watching last night's game, the O/U, which resides at 9 again, I have officially deemed "uncappable."

G'luck to all tonight.
