Depaul -6 over Fairfield ****
Think Melvin inside will be to much for the Stags to match up against..Young is playing well at the gd..they have some big guys like Kirk 6'9 and Robertson 6'10{ went to North Texas but left}..thier not big time scorers but take up space in the paint.Melvin can have a big game tonite..Stags have Needham one of my all time fav .MAAC gds...pretty balanced scoring and having Mikulic at 7'0 helps..but they have trouble scoring...DePaul has been in a big time funk going 3-15 in the B-east lyr..but they did go 9-4 in non league...close game and think Olivers kids pull away at home..Purnell is a good coach..
Vermont +6 over Harvard ***
If those Harvard guys didn't cheat the Crimson would be a lot better...Vermont lost some good kids to transfers and quitting but you have to love watching these guys play..Voelkel is probably one of the most peculiar players in the country..at 6'6 he is one of the best passers in the country and top rebounders..but he avgs 4 pts a game...yet if Vermont wins tonite he would be the MVP...Russin was Marists top recruit 3 yrs ago...could hit the 3 from the Hudson River but transferred back to his home in Vermont...at 6'4 he leads the team in scoring at 10 pts...Apfeld and Oday are 6'7 and 6'9,,but with the Cats offense it doesn't make a difference...they have trouble scoring but play solid defense and out rebound you...think they give the Crimson a tough game tonite..
