Zaga -2.5 over West Vir ****
You have Zaga who always seems to win on the road vs WV who always wins its non conference games at home..but WV doesn't play to many 16th ranked teams in non conf games.Last yr on "left coast" Zaga destroyed them by 34 pts..Pango,Bell and a few others were apart of that team...WV lost its entire front line from lyr and its 2 top gds Staten and Henderson had a combined total of 3 pts in that game...and they played a lot of minutes.Of course they are better after getting a year under their belt...WV has been playing better losing to Wisky by 7,Mizzou by 8 and VT by a few..but Zaga has some solid gds in Pangos,Bell ,Coleman and Stockton..Huggy Bear does have his gds playing good defense but stopping these 4 is tough for any team to handle...but inside the paint is where WV could be in trouble.Dower 6'9 is so tough inside and 7'0 Karnowski takes up a lot of space...don't see WV front line handling them..think this game stays close due to the fact WV does play good defense and Harris has become a good outside shooter and Staten can penetrate but Zaga doesn't lose on the road...

Illi -16 over Dartmouth ****
If their is a more mystery team in the B-10 its Illi...they lost their 2 top gds from lyr. Groce brings in some transfers and some super frosh and they are just learning to play together..they got it all together in the Auburn game the other nite.Rice from Drake is having a great yr avg 18 pts.Abrams is a vet and one of their best players.Bertrand drives to the hoop as a 6'6 gd.But they have an air craft carrier in 6'11 Egwu who will dominate tonite...he is an aircraft carrier vs Ivy League teams buts get down graded to battle ship vs B-10 teams....Illi plays tough defense and rebounds...Dartmouth has all undersized gds in the Ivy league..vs B-10 teams they are all PT boats{ is their a smaller boat in the US Navy}. Mald is is their only post player inside..they have 2 fds who avg 10 pts a game but they are the size of the Illi gds...with Egwu inside the Green wave are in trouble..Illi wins this by 20 or more.

went 4-4 on Sunday...

The super frosh you speak of played with Jabari Parker on 4 time state champion Simeon hs. They're decent players, but having seen them play 10-15 times in hs they are not as good as the hype. Have had a chance to talk with Groce...great guy, seems to really know his stuff.

As always, thanks for the picks.

rrc....like Groce a lot...came up thru the ranks...coached at NC St and somewhere else..then did an outstanding job at Ohio...his players wear a wristband with some motivational saying...I watched it on TV but forgot what it said...his recruits are still puppies and when he took the job from Weber was left with little...the transfers have helped and are now fitting in...after about 5 or 6 games teams begin to gel better..think Illi will be tough at home in the B-10..on the road could present problems...but the match ups tonite give Illi a huge advantage esp inside the paint....size,speed,etc GL thanks Bobby w and D-2
