LN 1-2, -2.6 units
Season 225-216, +88.5425 units

Bad plays on LA and the Over ruined the nite. Probably the homer in me made me force those 2 plays. Really thought the Kings would be good for at least 2 goals.

Played 2 overnite......

Pens ML+180 x2
Wings ML+120 x2
Blues ML+115 x2

Thoughts are posted in Chenker's thread. Jump in with your thoughts and tell us why we're dumb asses for making our picks:D

As always, Good luck, everyone!!:toast:

Dubbs man, dont let those Queens turn you into a fairy!! I was feelin em to win last night too but I was shocked to see San Jose (Mass Underachievers) come out with the 3-0 win. I dont get it at all. Potvin is lettin his team down...hardcore. He aint the cat he used to be. Another thing that has me all  :( is Tampa Bay!! They began the year sooooo great now they dont seem to be playin with the intensity they once had. T-Bay is takin on Philly tommorow...as you prolly know. What are your thoughts on that game??? Much appreciation in advance. Good luck tommorow, everyone!

Peace

I am glad that you talked me out of the buffalo play, I tried to return the favor with SanJose :)

Be back later if I see anything interesting for today.

Who is worse my team Buffalo or your team the Queens. I wonder what would happen if they play each other? What a shitty night, good thing I went with Dallas or I'd be hanging from the rafters at work right now.

Fan@tic, Tampa I think was helped greatly but the obstruction "crackdown" early on. Their team speed was a great benefit, that and they had 2-3 guys that were on fire for a while. Now that the obstruction is not being called as much I think they can't quite play the same style they were early in the year and that has hurt them. Just my .02.

ddubs, I guess the Pens play is a value play based on the +180 return? Without Mario on the road I'd have a hard time backing them. This is the first home game for the Isles after they were embarrassed by the Rangers (and a local fan took out a full page add in the Times to chatise their effort), and I sort of expect a high intensity game from the Isles. This is the 5th meeting for NYI and PIT this year with the Isles taking 3 of the 4 so far, outscoring the Pens 17-11 in the process. Pens have not scored a PP goal in 5 games, but the Isles PK has been dreadful of late, but the PP has clicked.

Thanks for the response, guys. Sorry for the late reply, had to work an early shift this morning:(. Good luck to you all today:).

FWIW, here is MHO......

Junkie: You're partly right about me taking the Pens at +180. The +180 was what tipped the balance for me. Looks like overnite Vegas pretty much sucked the value out of it. I wouldn't take the Pens at lower than +160. NYI taking 3 of 4 this yr from the Pens was a concern, but the Pens have also taking 2 of last 3 when they visited the Isles. Pens are without Mario, but the Isles are pretty beat up themselves. Aucoin is out with a bad groin, Scatchard is questionable, as is Isbister with his bad back. NYI has played 6 of their L7 on the road, including the L2, and that is always a no-no for me to play a big home fav after a road trip. Pitt had a successful road trip last time out, and Caron was standing on his head. If Pitt offense didn't run out of gas toward the end of the trip, they should have gotten a few more points out of it. NYI's recent PP surge didn't bother me that much, since their blueline general Aucoin is still out, and Pitt PK unit has only allowed 2PP goals in their L10 games.

F@natic: I'm very tempted to play TB, but it's hard to see the Flyers lose 3 straight. Plus there's the BITCH angle where TB has not beaten Philly in 8 games. Most likely a no play for me.

Stomie: the Queens:mad:

Brett: I'm not a good totals player, in fact, I'd say I suck. That's why I don't play totals over-120, and rarely take -110. 4.5 looks tempting, but that -125, -130 is a major turnoff for me.:D

And guys, DON'T EVEN BOTHER THINKING ABOUT TAKING THE KINGS TONITE!!! Allison did not play last nite due to strained hip flexor, and didn't even make the trip to SJ. Ziggy took a knee-on-knee and is questionable. Storr should be in net tonite, who usually played 2 good periods and is a master in giving up soft goals. The Kings had no fire, and had 31 soft shots on goal. They couldn't score in a penny whore house with a nickle in their pocket:D. LaPerriere was the only one hustling on the team last nite, IMHO. I think the rumor of a possible wholesale change by the trade deadline really shook them up.

Gonna go over the whole card again. Can't believe how much StL and Pitt line shifted. Now I'm getting a little concerned about those 2 picks.

GOOD LUCK TONITE!!!

Brett, I think I'm gonna take the Panthers tonite at a nice return price. Panthers are off of a nice home win over the Canes, and are 2-1-1 in L4 visiting the Habs. Home coming for Luongo, also, who's a Montreal native, and one of the more underrated goalies in the game, IMHO.

Dubman- In case you missed it- Legace in net tonight (I think he should be their #1) Chelios and Wallin are out- their D is thin right- If I was to play the Wings tonight I would hedge it with 4 1/2 over- I do not see them winning a low scoring game tonight but both goalies have been playing well so who knows-

I am really close to pulling the trigger on the Yotes- Flames are their bitch as you said- team seems to playing a lot better since they got rid of Claude- Amonte is out but at -1/2 + money I think it is worth a shot-

Dubs,
From what I have the Panthers are a great shot and I will be on them.
I also think you may be missing a good shot with LA. You might want to take a look at what I have on the game.

I am shopping for a new book since mine no longer offers ML plays. Who are you using?

thanks

Brett, send you an email:)

Final plays......

Pens ML+180 x2
Pens ML+170 x.5
Blues ML+115 x2.5
Wings ML+120 x2
Panthers ML+160 x2
Thrash ML+110 x2
BB's -.5-160 x1

Wanted to throw BB's in a 2-teamer, but couldn't find another fav that I would throw them on with, so going out of character and playing PL for 1 units.

As always, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

The Wings look horrible, will be lucky to even tie this one up:(
How about Hackett, man. Dumb ass Dave Taylor rather keep Storr than trading for HackSaw :thefinger

Adding two......

Min/Van Over5+100 x2
Minny ML+170 x2
Trying to hedge again. Feel confident Minny can get at least 2 against Clouts.

GOOD LUCK!!!
