Thanks, guys. Good luck to all of you, also:).

Vince, losing 3 players thru the trade, including their best F and best D is a little concerning, but I'm sticking with the pick. I'm surprised that an 8th place team would do this, I guess that's why the GM's make the big bucks. Carter has been invisible offensively anyways, 7pts in L13 games. This is a double revenge game for Edm trying to hang on to 8th place with NashVegas breathing down their necks. Calg won 5 of L6, but only NJ owns a playoff spot, and NJ was in a 3/4 situation OTR. Phx lost Amonte last nite and almost won the game in Denver, I think Edm can win this one, as well.

rc, as much as I hate to say it and to see both Sneider and Smokes go, Dave Taylor did a great job with the hands he had. Smokes was gonna be an unrestricted FA end of this yr, and Schneider is owed 3.5mil next season. LA just signed Miller to a 4 yr deal, and they can't afford to have 3 D-men makeing 14mil combined. Gleason has All-Star potentials, and we have a 1st and 2nd round pick the next 2 yrs. The biggest thing is that Palff Daddy is staying in LA, and the future looks bright with only Norstrom and Miller over 27 yrs old. And our #1 line is intact for next season with Allison, Palffy, Deader. Heinze has been a total bust, the problem is no one is dumb enough to take him.

Dubs- thought I would chime in on the Wings deal.

I actually think the trade is good for both teams. Detroit needed a top D-man really bad. Chelly is still banged up and Fischer was a big loss. Not too mentrion Olauson to the Ducks in the offseason. Kunetsov is big and slow and Avery has a lot of heart bhut takes bad penalties IMO and does not posses a lot of skills. I follow the Wings very closely and I think they are really concentrating on this year- Adding Sneider gives them anothere solid blue liner and he will really help on the PP- They are getting older by the minute and the future is now. I do not agree with giving up two draft picks as well but like I said they obviously they care a lot about repeating. If they can get solid play out of Cujo they will be scary. I really think the West is going to come down to the Avs and Wings again....

While the East is now a 4 team race- Sens, Leafs, Flyers, and Devils (they might be the 4th best team in the East now because they did not do anything before the deadline)
