LIU -3.5 over Mt St Mary ***
Going for there 3rd NEC championship in a row..the Blackbirds can score..in last 5 of 6 games they have scored 90 pts +...but they have the same problem Iona has..can't play defense...MSM is hot esp after knocking off No 1 seed R. Morris...these guys split home-away....but LIU has Olaswere who avg 19 pts and 8 bds...at pt gd they have Brickman who leads the nation in assists with 272..they have good gds and Ola..MSM is missing its top gd Norfleet who avgs 11 pts a game and is their top assist man... is doubtful....plus LIU is playing at home..Blackbirds are going dancing...

Seattle -3 over Texas St **
Sat court side 2 weeks ago when Tex won by 2...Seattle led almost the whole game...they got 2 bad calls against them and the Bobcats pulled it out...but Trent their top scorer after playing 5 minutes was benched..not sure if he said something to his coach..he didn't look hurt...and with about 2 minutes in the game he was put back in...total of 7 minutes...Seattle has some big boys inside with Rasmussen,Green and Sunderhouse..all 6'8 and 6'9....Obasi was a solid pt gd...Bobcats have Wright who can score but their gds are avg...Jones hit 4 of 9 from the 3 that nite...don;t think that will happen again..Seattle is a mystery team...they only have a few wins but they lost to Idaho,NM St,UTA,La Tech and NM ST by 4,3,2,6 and OT...Texas St has beaten them both times by 2..think the catholic boys beat them tonite....never knew Seattle was a catholic school until I saw the Priest sitting on the bench with the team..even in the huddle...

Iona recap..wow...long time since I lost a game like that....Iona up 60-52 with 6 or 7 seconds left....With a second or two left the Richards kid from Manhattan hits a 3...60-55....Iona wins and covers...but Iona players and some fans run out on the court with .01..ref calls a tech and MC hits both FT's...60-57 final score....but that is why none of us live in the Caymon islands relaxing on the beach next to our computer.....LIU is a lot like Iona...hopefully they will be ahead 62-52 with 6 seconds left..
