yesterday a wasted effort! I mentioned (twice!) that my pitcher analysis showed Padilla would have a good day. but I used that to cut down my belief in the fave pic I made, and stay off the over. Didn't follow thru and take the dog or under!
but won't follow thru with Detroit dog today. I liked them twice last week, and twice they got a nice lead and blew it. (same with big dog pitt, tho I did pic pitt in one of those games). But I do like the under here. Knotts loves pitcher's duels and "feeds off the other guy". If Nomo comes thru, then we'll have a fine under. Not the fabulous one when Loaiza visited, as Nomo not as consistent and doesn't have the best record against Detroit.
thought of Colo dog (Jennings fine on road and Radke could serve up a bad one), but that effect of batters leaving a homestand there and adjusting, esp in first game, kept me off (besides terrible Colo road record). Colo has scored avg 2.6 runs in first road game coming off homestand this season.
here's an old Peter Gammons article on it...............http://espn.go.com/gammons/s/2002/0914/1431768.html
and Rob Vino on "the Las Vegas Sportswire" this morning on KENO AM (don't you love sportsbetting talk radio as opposed to sport talk radio? they keep promising to stream online, but haven't yet), has noticed a Hiram Bithorn effect and thinks those batters at Safeco Field tonight will hit "home runs and deep pops" and look frustrated as they are harmless pop flies easily caught.
0-1 yesterday. record now +8.32 units overall (129-116-30)
any thoughts?
good luck all!
