PHILS
Brett Myers, is 3-0 with a 0.59 ERA in his last four starts against Los Angeles.
The Dodgers have lost their last seven games in Philadelphia, dating to Aug. 4, 2002, and haven't won a series there since August 1999.
OAK
Harden (6-4, 2.23 ERA). Harden is 3-2 with a 3.22 ERA in seven career starts against the Angels. He allowed four hits in eight innings against Los Angeles on April 16.
Rich Harden has been a major reason for the Oakland Athletics' resurgence. He'll shoot for his fifth win in six starts when the A's continue a three-game series with the AL West-leading Los Angeles Angels. The 23-year-old right-hander is 4-1 with a 1.42 ERA over his last five outings, and is coming off his best outing of the season. Harden pitched a two-hitter in a 6-0 win over Texas last Thursday, taking a perfect game into the eighth inning before Alfonso Soriano's single with one out broke it up.
Washburn (6-4, 3.23 ERA). Washburn is 26-27 with a 4.28 ERA in 75 career appearances after the All-Star break, including 68 starts
AZ
lost of trade rumors swirling around Burnett who may be coming to baltimore
Burnett the right-hander is 0-1 with a 7.04 ERA over his last three outings. Burnett gave up six runs and six hits - including three homers - and suffered the loss in a 13-7 defeat at Philadelphia last Thursday. Burnett is 1-2 with a 3.12 ERA in three career outings against Arizona. He is 4-4 with a 3.79 ERA in 11 road starts this season. Burnett has surrendered eight of his nine homers on the road.
DIAMONDBACKS PROBABLE STARTER: Javier Vazquez (8-8, 4.25 ERA). Vazquez snapped a personal four-game losing streak last Thursday by allowing four hits in eight innings in a 6-0 win at San Diego. The right-hander was 0-4 with a 5.33 ERA over his four previous outings. Vazquez is 6-3 with a 4.10 ERA against Florida in 15 career appearances, including 14 starts.
TOR
Toronto batting .288 @home vs righties and .310 overall in L10
MARINERS PROBABLE STARTER: Aaron Sele (6-9, 4.77 ERA). Sele has lost his last four starts, posting an 8.72 ERA over that span. The right-hander gave up four runs and seven hits in six innings in a 5-3 loss to the Orioles on Thursday. Sele is 8-4 with a 4.31 ERA in 17 starts against Toronto.
BLUE JAYS PROBABLE STARTER: Lilly (7-9, 5.21 ERA). Lilly pitched well in his last start, allowing two runs and four hits while striking out eight in seven innings, but the Blue Jays lost 3-0 to Tampa Bay on Thursday.Ted Lilly has vastly improved since the first two months of the season. The left-hander looks to avenge one of his many poor early season starts as he takes the mound for the Toronto Blue Jays in the opener of a three-game series with the Seattle Mariners. Lilly is Toronto's hottest pitcher, going 4-2 with a 2.13 ERA in his last six starts. He lost at Seattle on May 30, surrendering four runs and six hits in 4 2-3 innings in a 4-3 decision. Lilly had a 7.60 ERA after that start, but has lowered it to 5.21.
METS
Mets 18-12 in game 1 of series
Kris Benson has been the best earner for the Mets (+$505 this year) and should look to continue that.
METS PROBABLE STARTER: Kris Benson (6-3, 3.57 ERA). Benson has pitched well, but doesn't have any wins to show for it. He hasn't earned a victory since June 21 against the Philadelphia Phillies despite allowing eight earned runs over his last 26 innings (2.77 ERA).
PADRES PROBABLE STARTER: Brian Lawrence (5-9, 4.27 ERA). Lawrence has lost three straight starts, but the Padres have scored just one run for him over that span. The right-hander gave up four runs and seven hits in five innings in a 6-0 loss to the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
One thing does worry me a little about this game is Lawrence is 3-1 with a 2.57 ERA in four starts against the Mets.
