There are two games today that, try as hard as I can, I can't make come out the way I want them to. I thought I liked Wash and Sea but I have looked for any adv or angle that would justify a play for me and can't find one. I can't get an adv for any of the four teams in those games. In fact, the lines might be off by a half point favoring the dog in both cases. Not enough for me to put money on. It's not for sure but I will probably be passing on these two. Here's where I stand at the moment and am working on getting them down to a reasonable number.

Char o
Phil +1 adv and o
Mia o
Wash o
Dal +1 adv (Is O'neal playing? If not this is a + 2)
Mem + 1 adv and o
Port + 1 adv and u
GS o

Looks like too many overs but that's the way it came out.

This might be worth mentioning here. It might help some of you younger cappers (a few older ones too). Yesterday I really liked the under in the Hou game. Everything I did came up under and several of the cappers here and other places on the net that I have a lot of respect for also liked it. There was only one fly in the ointment. The play was bucking a 75% over trend of mine. I usually pass in this spot but I liked it a lot and played it anyway. I got just exactly what I deserved, a loss. I've said it before and it is worth repeating. Why take the worst of the bet and try to out-run it. My point is this. Everyone of us has certain trends or situations that work for us so, no matter how good a play looks on the surface, why can't we wait for a play that at least appears to be all in our favor? There's always another game. The story don't have as bad an ending as it could, I went 1-1 last night. 1-0 would have been better

Amen to what you wrote up there, gsp. I know I find myself sometimes making plays that should not be made when I think I like a game but I find something that tells me not to play it and I play it anyway. I think most good cappers would agree that erring on the side of caution is usually the way to go in those situations. The problem, at least for me, comes when the plays I am narrowly passing start winning because then I get frustrated and it can make me greedy. Good luck tonight. Wish I coulda met you in person in Vegas. Hopefully some day.
