Nebraska -150 (5dimes)
Yes, Indiana has won four straight games, but they came against the bottom four teams in the Big Ten standings; and the bottom of the Big Ten absolutely stinks. (The middle isn't that good either!)
Nebraska coming off a road loss 48 hours ago to an awful Illinois team, but will have the homecourt advantage tonight. Nebraska at home? ONE loss this year, and that was 73-72 vs. KANSAS in a non-conference game.
Nebraska a bubble team and they might live at the free throw line tonight, as the B1G wants to get another team into the Big Dance.
Hoosiers survived on the road at Iowa over the weekend, but needed a school-record tying nine 3-pointers from RoJo to do it. Just not enough consistent perimeter shooting for IU. And I can see Morgan picking up two quick fouls and sitting next to Archie on the pine for stretches. (This seems to always happen to IU bigs on the road). Look for Nebraska's Palmer to get to the charity stripe often tonight. Huskers don't turnover the ball much, either.
If you want to lay the 3, it might be okay. I just can't see the Hoosiers leaving Lincoln with a victory.

I can't say enough about the defensive improvement under CAM. And these aren't even his players. Under Crean, this would be a different story...no defense.

Nebraska ZERO free throws in the first half. So much for my "Huskers will live at the line" analysis. Ha!
Still 20 minutes to go, but I like what I'm seeing from IU. But Nebraska still only down one at half.

Gonna pass on the 2H play.
Huskers should try to get the ball inside, instead of jacking up threes.

Well the 2nd half played out like I thought the game would. Nebraska drove to the basket, crashed the boards, and shot 17 free throws in the 2nd half- none, by the way, with IU fouling to try to get back into the game.
Josh Newkirk is not a major D1 basketball player and should never see the court again. He can't shoot and is a turnover machine. Thank goodness the Pitt-transfer is a senior.
Tim Miles, who was on the hot seat the past couple of years at Nebraska, coached a bad first half tonight but a great 2nd half.
