I know I am going to catch allot of flack for picking a big favorite but just could not find a reason not to take it.
Hudson has been a solid bet this year and is 2-1 in his last 3 starts with a ERA of 3.09, he is 9-3 on the road ERA of 3.03 and is 5-0 vs. Toronto ERA of 2.23. Carpenter has been a big disappointment especially lately going 0-3 in his last 3 trips to the hill ERA of 10.54, he is 1-7 at home ERA of 5.29 and is 1-2 against the A's ERA of 5.97.
Oakland is 21-12 as a road favorite, 6-0 as a fav. of -150 to -175, 6-4 on artificial turf, 46-28 at night, 33-26 on the road, 45-31 vs. right handers and over the last 3 seasons they are 12-1 in Toronto! The Blue Jays are 7-11 as a home dog, 0-3 as a home dog of +150 to +200, 35-37 on turf, 27-32 at home, 36-38 at night and 46-49 vs. righties.
The Oakland bullpen has been used very little of late and in their last 21.2 innings have an ERA of 2.91. While the BJ's bullpen has been used allot in their last 30.2 innings they have an ERA of 4.40.
Bottom line is that the A's are on a 10-0 roll and are looking straight into the post season, while the Blue Jays are making vacation plans!
