How many fucking times have I said stop taking out starters that dominate in favor of mediocre relievers???? Fucking Blue Jays. Romero leaves with my under looking good with 2 innings left, then the relievers promptly give up 3 runs. CHRIST!

Hi...sorry, I have to disagree with that. Romero had to come out in the game. The Jays' bullpen is one of the best in the AL next to Cleveland, I believe.

The real argument is about whether Francisco should have been left in for the 9th. He puts a lot of guys on base and they steal. Anyways, this is a technical argument. But it is not a question about taking out the starting pitcher in this case, it's an argument that is going on right now about the best way to use the bullpen.

Anyways, sorry for your loss tonite, I was pissed off tool

Is Romero better than the Blue Jays pen? I'd argue yes. I don't care how good your pen is, they aren't as good as your starters. I totally understand your point, I'm just frustrated. Grew up pitching and played in college. I think pitch counts and closers are the biggest jokes in all of baseball's conventional wisdom. IMO you take starters out when they fail or can't go on. It's an old school mentality, but I believe in going with talent and results over modern strategy.

Staring down 0-5 today. Awesome. Nice job Rays. Way to go Jays.

Yeah, I feel your pain. But in this case, Romero had pitched some very high intensity innings in the last couple of innings and he was pretty much done.

I'm sure you are not saying teams should not have a bullpen, because they are not as good as starters. That was the case half a century ago, for sure. Bob Feller would never have left a game for the relievers.

I think in this case it was the use of the bullpen, and I am pretty sure that Franciso will not have a role in the BJs pen after the end of this year. Anyways, hindsight is perfect.

But yeah, it is frustrating, especially in New York in the last couple of innings with the fans into it. It takes big balls to keep your cool in that fucking place. :mj07:
