Was very close to playing Seattle on the moneyline, but just can't get myself to bet completely against Santana. The guy can be unhittable at times so I opted for the +1.5 runs in case a duel develops. Meche can also be unhittable when he's on and that's exactly what he was this spring, sporting a 1.83 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 19.2 innings pitched while only giving up 15 hits.
Meche is also a guy that is 5-1 in 6 career starts vs Minnesota and is also a perfect 3-0 at Home vs Minnesota which is exactly when you want to play this guy. Meche is a much better pitcher at Home. His ERA over his career is nearly 2 full runs lower at Home vs on the Road and almost all his other numbers are better as well at Home. If the probably pitchers duel develops, the +1.5 runs at -109 has a ton of value in my opinion.
