My first attempt at inter-league wasn't exactly successful, so here's hoping tonight gets a little better........

HOUSTON ASTROS (-144) The Astros are just a much better team than Seattle right now, and Roger Clemens has experienced a lot of success in his career versus the Mariners, going 22-14 with a 3.27 ERA in 311 innings pitched. Pineiro has also had more than his fair share of trouble this year (1-7, 5.79 ERA), so I think this price is fair.

MILWAUKEE BREWERS (+121) The Angels are still a hurting bunch, and Kelvim Escobar, although pitching very well, is capable of throwing a dud when least expected, so I am going to give Ben Sheets a try at a very attractive price.

MONTREAL EXPOS (+122) Zach Greinke has impressed me in his limited action this year, however, Tony Armas looked very good in his first start last week after a 13 month layoff, and I look for him to get a little further into the game this week and give another strong performance. The Royals are coming off two straight losses to the Red Sox, and the Expos have lost 7 of their last 10, but I look for them to find the Royals a little more to their liking compared to their opponents in those games (Braves and streaking Reds).

FLORIDA MARLINS (-102) I will give Dontrelle a shot in this match-up against a struggling Indian team returning home from the west coast, where Cliff Lee was welcomed back to Earth, losing his first decision of the season. Blackman's thread brought this game to my attention, and I like some of the things he brought up, so I will climb on his back for this play.

Wait a minute......Did I just play the Brewers and the Expos on the same card?? Well, this inter-league play IS a whole new bag of toys, so I am hoping that anything is possible. ;)

Good Luck,

Sharky

Hey Sharky. Congrats on a good year so far.
I see the Montreal and Milwaukee games as toss ups so I guess you can't go wrong with the plus money. I would take both myself, but GSP says that in IL play, home teams cover most of the time, which has me a little leary. I do believe those games will go 1-1 though. As for as Florida, everyone on the board has them except me. I never usually bet with the crowd favorite. Florida does well in IL play. Willis is 2-0 with a 0 era in his last two IL games. I just don't have confidence in Willis. I still see this game as a toss up where I like Cleveland to win 5-4.
GOOD LUCK IN ALL YOUR PLAYS!!
