Well, took a few days off and ready to get back in the mix. Congrats to everyone who had a successful weekend. ;) Rangers came through for me Monday night, and have a few more for Tuesday:

BOSTON RED SOX (+146) I'll be the first to admit that Derek Lowe is not the same pitcher that has had success in the past. However, I do like the fact that his ERA is a meager 1.71 in his last 3 starts, he is 4-2 on the road this year (compared to 2-4 at home), and although he lost his last start in Minnesota, he still showed good control in walking one and striking out seven. On the other hand, the Yanks send Javier Vazquez to the mound. I'll confess to being a fan of this kid, however, if the Yankees ever have trouble scoring runs, it seems to come with this guy on the mound. Couple this with the fact that New York is coming off an emotional sweep of the cross-town Mets and the fact that the Red Sox want to beat nobody more than this "Empire" and I'll take a shot at this attractive price.

BALTIMORE ORIOLES (-114) "Sidney Ponson line three. Sidney Ponson line three".............This guy has to answer the call soon, and I can't think of a better spot than this one. Baltimore handled the Royals easily on Monday night, Ponson is 7-4 in his career versus KC with a 3.38 ERA, and the Royals send to the mound a kid that has not pitched at this level this year. Although Ponson is 0-5 on the road this year, and is 3-10 overall, if ever he was in a good spot to win one, show me a better case than this one. ;)

CHICAGO WHITE SOX (-125) Although the White Sox lost a good catcher, and for the most part, a very good teammate from what I understand, they must sort of feel as though they won the lottery in a way. The Sox landed the most eligible pitcher in MLB and their confidence must be elevated in knowing their management is making a play for a very extended season. I am also drawn to the fact that Buehrle is 12-4 with a 3.79 ERA career versus the Twins, while Silva has been hammered in both outings against the ChiSox this year.

Good Luck Fellas,

Sharky

Okay, I think I'm finally getting it.....Betting Derek Lowe is a losing proposition. No more betting Derek Lowe. :nooo: Gonna add a late one:

TEXAS RANGERS (+120) Not much of a write-up, but the Tampa Bay Devils have the best record in June, but the Rangers are right up there, winning 16 games this month. This contrasts the Mariners, who are showing signs of throwing in the towel. I also like some of the pitching stats here, but don't have much time to get into that.
