"You never count your money, when you're sittin' at the table......" BECAUSE THE DAMN METS TOOK IT ALL ON YOU..... :cursin: (sorry, more plagerism Doc, but this is getting kinda fun) The Gambler delivered on his promise, but unfortunately Glavine did not have his best stuff Monday night. Oh well, just nice not to lose for the night.
Gonna play one for Tuesday before I hit the hay......
CHICAGO WHITE SOX (-144) Well, Freddy Garcia has got one debut under his belt, but now makes his debut in a White Sox uniform at US Cellular field when Chicago tries to end a three game skid while facing the Angels at home. I think that Garcia will be a little more relaxed this time out than his last start at the Metrodome, where he was making his debut with the club. I also like the fact that Freddy has pretty much owned Anaheim in his career (10-2, 2.48 ERA in 130+ IP) and must feel much more confident now with an offense behind him. Contrast this to the career numbers of John Lackey versus the White Sox (0-2 with an ERA of 11) and that fact that this line-up lit him up like, well, the Fourth of July, on the 30th of May of this year (3 IP, 9 H, 8 ER).
Leaning towards the Mets/Phils under, and the Mariners (I hate even saying that), but I'm gonna do a bit more snooping around (when I'm supposed to be working on Tuesday if I can) and see how things play out before making a move on these ones.
Talk to everybody Tuesday......
Good Luck,
Sharky
