tempted to play tonights big game for the 1h as opposed to the full game because, well- my teams are freaking folding like cheap suits in the 2nd halves the last few nights. from tulsa's complete fold job on saturday in gonzaga (up 7 with 10:00 to go and lose by 9) to butler's 10:00 w/o scoring in the 2h to blow any cover yesterday to byu/utah's 2h scoring explosion to push the game over the total that had 57 pts at half.

so be advised- this 3.5 unit game is guaranteed to cover the 1h and then probably not even come out of the lockerroom for the 2nd half.

but im still going to play it for the full game.

3.5 units.............iowa state (-1) over colorado
1.0 units.............marshall moneyline (+135) over kent state

reworked my card, reupped on marshall, and played this as my final card:

3.5 units iowa state (-1) over colorado
2.0 units marshall moneyline (+135) over kent state
2.0 units florida/scarolina under 134.5

the more i look at the marshall game, the more i like it.

like your insight as always.. curious to how you see kent/marshall game playing out.. Marshall seems to really struggle on the boards.. Kent without Gerwig loses some much needed bulk up front which should favor Marshall bigtime.. holler back :D

i dont see either team really "pulling away" and winning by double digits, because both teams are slumping. but i just feel like marshall finds a way to win here tonight. kent state just is not playing well on the road right now, and they appear to be simply exhausted. a lot of the players made reference to their grueling schedule (theyve played a ton of games this month) and it REALLY showed vs hawaii. that was a terrible effort by kent state on saturday. so i dont see them miraculous becoming a "fresh team" 48 hours later and laying road points.

is kent state the better team? sure. but marshall has all the talent necessary to win. if marvin black plays as well tonight as he did on saturday (12 points and 18 rebounds) then that will help marshall tremendously.

kent just really looks tired right now. on paper, i think a lot of capping would lead to a kent state lean. but just looking at the morale of the team, and the way theyre playing- they just look DEAD TIRED.

dammit- if not for the ridiculous 2h in florida/usc, woulda been a great night. 58 points in 1h, 101 in 2nd. ridiculous, lmao.

i aint gonna lie. when kent state cut marshalls 14 point 2h lead down to 3 at 58-55, i would chalking it up as a kent state cover, because most teams cant recover from a kent state run. but herd finally showed some nut sack. too bad the herd pi$$ed away their regular season conference chances so this big win for marshall loses some of its luster.

kent state has no shame though. down 11 with under a minute and hacking away like mother****ers, lmao
