Thanks for all this info guys. Here is what I came up with on an early run through each game. Good luck.

-Andy Murray will not be with the Kings as he recovers from an auto accident. Blue Jackets played great since the 8-0 blowout loss to Boston. Kings are one of the best road teams in the league.

-Richter looks for revenge tonight against Brodeur. Devils had dominated the Rangers in years past, but NY is 1-0-1 at MSG this year.

-Zhamnov could be out for Chicago after getting injured in the Bronze medal game. LeClair was the hottest scorer in Salt Lake but will that turn around his sub-par NHL season?

-Bruins are tied for the best record in the east. Isles do not play another winning team until 3/13.

NOTE: I edited the note on Boston because Dafoe is out. He has been hot but Grahame will start tonight.

-Panthers are terrible but they showed surprising life in one goal losses at Nashville and Chicago before the break. Billington may start for the Caps, as Kolzig is still day-to-day. Washington is 3-0-1 in their last four, but those wins were against Tampa and Minnesota.

-Sabres pointed in six of seven heading to the break. Atlanta is back to playing poorly, with one win in their last eight before the break. Atlanta's games have been more defensive, with 5 of 10 going under 6 goals and only 1 of 10 going over 6 goals.

-Montreal lost their last two before the break as they gave up 7 goals combined. Ottawa pointed in 9 of 10 before the break. No word who will start in goal for Ottawa, but Hurme had a great Olympics, leading Finland to a second place finish in the group and then holding Canada to two goals in a close quarterfinal loss.

-Pat Quinn returns to Toronto in what will surely be an emotional scene. Nobody needed the break more than Carolina, who were ravaged by injuries two weeks ago. Kapanen, Brind'amour and Gelinas should all be back. Canes have won two of three this year, including the only game in Toronto.

-Yzerman is out for Detroit and Shanahan is injured, but he will play. Tampa has been struggling defensively, surrenduring 19 goals in their last 6 before the break. Khabibulin faced arguably the biggest workload during the Olympics, especially in games vs. the Czech Republic and the U.S.

-Sharks were playing the best hockey in the league before the break. Nashville won four of five with the last two being 1-0 shutouts before the break. Dunham got a shutout vs. Finland in his lone Olympic appearance.

-Turek struggled before the break and left the Czech Olympic team due to injuries. Roy allowed just 2 goals per game in his last three before the break against Chicago, Boston and St. Louis.

-Belfour has allowed two or less goals in six straight. Phoenix struggled defensively before the break before redeeming themselves somewhat with a nice 2-2 tie at Los Angeles.

-Cloutier returns for the Canucks tonight, who were one of the hottest teams in the league heading into the break. Blues have played inconsistent defense since their winning streak, with wins over only Atlanta, Edmonton and Washington in their last nine.

Bruins goalie has new baby, Raycroft recalled from AHL

By Associated Press, 2/26/2002 12:52

BOSTON (AP) The Boston Bruins recalled goaltender Andrew Raycroft from their Providence farm team on Tuesday to serve as the backup while Byron Dafoe is with his wife and newly born son.

Chase Alexander Dafoe was born to Kim Dafoe on Monday night. The Bruins goalie's birthday also is Feb. 25.

Raycroft was 20-16-6 with a 2.55 goals against average and three shutouts in 42 games in the American Hockey League. He played 15 games in Boston last year, and this is first recall to the Bruins this season.

Goalies, Mogilny, updates

Goalies, Mogilny, updates

Good writeup Nick! Gotta look more into that FL stuff especially.

There are some updates...as noted above, Blackburn will start, Lalime not Hurme, and looks like no Khabib. and word is now no Brodeur either.

Mogilny probably out...http://www.canoe.ca/TorontoSports/ts.ts-02-26-0080.html

Montreal Gazette sez Theodore will start

National Post sez Cujo tonight

Grahame is 4-0 this season after a bad outing (a loss giving up 4 or more goals). So I expect him to be strong tonight.

Buffalo at Atlanta

Buffalo at Atlanta

Sabres 9-16-3 on road
AT 8-15-6 at home

3 meetings this season. AT won home and away. In between those win, Buff won 8-0 at home.

7 meetings in 2001, under hit 5-2
under 5.5 line won 2-3 Buff on road
under 5.5 line won 4-2 Atl at home this season

Buffalo 4-3-3 last 10. Lost to NJ, STL, Colorado
ATL 2-8 last 10

Buffalo is seven points from final playoff spot.
And say they haven't given up.

Buff's Kozlov could be out the whole season...http://www.faceoff.com/nhl/teams/sabres/news/story.html?f=/news/20020221/020221103545.html

Jim Lorentz column on Sabres' official site sez ice at Phillips Arena was "atrocious" this morning. If it doesn't improve, both teams will have to play a dump and chase game. How does that affect handicapping?

Detroit at Tampa Bay

Detroit at Tampa Bay

Wings 16-8-3 away
TB 10-13-3 at home

last meeting was Dec 2000--TB at home blanked Det 3-0.

Detroit goes to Panthers tomorrow. So we should see goalie Legace tonight or wed. He's feeling fine now, no problems from his hip flexor injury of few weeks back.

TB's next game is at home March 1 against SJ

TB goalie Weekes is 0-4 vs Detroit, 4.74 gga, .870 pct.

TB has top three scoring leaders out tonight.

thanks for all the info, did not have time today to read as much, really helped out--

saw that bit about the ice in atlanta, says it was put down overnight and when buf got on at 10:30 it was atrocious, dump n chase would probably lead more to unders however the wild card is that bad ice can also esult in people falling which can lead to scoring ops or funny bounces that go in the net as well---

atl thrashers
Fraser said he will rotate goalies Milan Hnilicka (tonight's starter) and Pasi Nurminen the next "six to eight games," then go with the hotter of the two.
