Florida at Pittsburg.........................................................................

FL is 8-18-4 away
Pitt is 13-15-2 at home

Teams have met twice this season, a 2 all tie at Pitt (10/28), and FL blanked Pitt 2-0 (11/7)

FL is 0-10-1 on 2 days rest
Pitt is 5-5-3 on 0 days rest

FL is 1-8-1 last 10
Pitt is 2-7-1 last 10

FL is having a dissapointing time. This from Sun-Sentinel:

The Panthers have lost six in a row, five straight by one goal, and three of the past four by blowing 3-0 and two 2-0 leads.

The fragile Panthers aren't able to handle adversity. If anything goes wrong, things usually fall apart.

"No composure," goalie Roberto Luongo said after the most recent debacle, a 3-2 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday in which the Panthers blew a 2-0 lead in the third period. "Even though we give up one goal, the game's not over. We just lose composure. It's just a mess."

Pitt, on the other hand, last night battled back from a 2 goal deficit to win over NYI. Pitt is now five points behind NYR and MTL for final playoff spot.

Pitt is 9-3 ATS on tuesdays this season
Pitt is 10-4 ATS after a win by 2 goals or more, but
Pitt is 5-10 this season after a division game

FL's Kozlov gets surgery today. Ryan Johnson skated, no idea when he will return.

Pitt's Straka hopes to be back thrus.

Post-Gazette list Luongo/Hedberg as probable goalies. I agree.

Luongo is 1-5-1 vs Pitt, 3.93 gga, .872 pct. He was author of that 2-0 shutout.

Hedberg is 1-1-0 vs FL, 2.53 gga, .932 pct. He goaled that 0-2 blanking. He's 1-3-1 this season on 2nd nite of b/b starts. Two of those at home (one win and one loss)

Pitt next game is Carolina at home after 1 day rest.
FL get 2 day rest next, then begin 4 game homestand.

Actually last month 2 days in a row, every single stat I could find pointed to either the over or the under, and I played both, and both games went opposite the trends:shrug: Don't you get the feeling sometimes you just can't win.
