Just some stuff for the 5 p.m. and later games today.

-Both Minny and the Grizz shot over 50% last time out and had convincing wins. Minny won both earlier meetings this season but only by 4 points each time.

-Atlanta absolutely crushed the Bulls last time they played in Chicago this season and the Bulls are 1-15 when avenging a home loss this season. Bulls ahve given up 50+% shooting in 3 straight.

-For those of you thinking about taking a shot on the huge dog moneyline for the Cavs, remember they are 0-3 this season vs. good offensive teams and the Mavs are 14-0 vs. poor defensive teams (99+ the criteria in both cases). FWIW, Dallas did only win by 4 the first time these two played this season.

-Spurs have won 6 straight and 19 of 21 (or is it 18 of 20?). Spurs have shot over 50% in 5 straight. Knicks upset the Spurs in their previous meeting this season.

...more to come.

-Say what you will about how bad Denver is, but the fact is that the Jazz have not been playing good basketball for about a month now and they are giving a very large number of points. Nugs have held a rebounding advantage in 3 straight while the Jazz have gotten outrebounded in their last 2.

-Golden State has exactly 1 dougle digit loss in their last 10 games. Since the start of March the Kings have played 6 games vs. teams that are playing well and only won 3 of those 6. Kings play the Lakers on Thursday.

-Rockets have won straight while the Sonics have lost 4 of 6, yet the Sonics are giving points. Sonics are in a non b2b 3 in 4. Here is why I think Seattle is favored. They struggle against strong rebounding and inside teams (recent losses to GS, POR, PHI and UTH) and Houston does not fit that description at all.

Thanks, Rog. Dunno how many actually recommendations I am going to be making in the near future because right now I just feel more comfortable posting my handicapping notes and letting folks read between the lines on what I played. Less stress for me in having people congratulate me while games are still going on, arguing about minutae of picks, etc.
