Iona lost its big time scorer...they do get back Cashmir and Fordham's transfer Severe at gd....but frontline is weak...Iona outscores people...they avg in the mid-90's and give up the low 90's...well this year they don't have that type of team...and Washington their one inside player at 6'8 260 is slow..he dominates the small MAAC centers...well FSU is huge inside...Ojo,Isaac,Kour are all 6'10,6'11 and 7'1....but FSU has solid gds and wingman...their backcourt can score,wings with Bacon and Mann can score...and rebounding inside should dominate...Iona plays no defense....but think they will have some trouble scoring their 80-90 vs FSU...hate laying that many points but think until Iona starts changing its philosophy they won't even win the MAAC..
South Carolina -5.5 over Monmouth **
Hate going against the giant killer Hawks who last yr won more road games then any D-1 team...Justin is one of the best pt gds in the country...but SC has some decent gds and think Martin at home won't be surprised by the Hawks...
GWash -2 over Siena **
Saints have everyone back...Wright outstanding pt gd..GW lost its big time players,coach,etc...think Cavanaugh and Wantanbe get this win in a close game....
North Texas +20 over Texas Tech *
Line was -18 moved up with the news NT's point gd and best passer won't play tonite...NT has the worst coach in D-1...they no play no defense....has some scorers in Combs and co but who gets these guys the ball.. Reese but he;s out...TT has some scorers but just maybe the TT defense slouches a little and NT scores a few pts...after the x-mas break NT's get Smoo's pt gd Frazier...then NT should be dangerous...until then the Mean Green just have to fasten your seat belt.....
