I am back and starting over, playing ONLY straight picks!!!!

Record: 0-0

Illinois +1.5 over Oh state
St Johns +2.5 over Seton Hall
Texas AM +10 over Iowa st
Kentucky +6.5 over Florida

You will notice that I might be picking "Dogs" everyday, because the books make certain teams a doggy or heavy dogs so the public gets influenced to pick the favorite, but I ain't falling for it ;)

My reasons for my picks:

Oh state at home and barely favorite, the books want you to pick OH state, nope, I ain't falling for it, I'm going with the much more talented team Illinois.

Again, Seton Hal at home and barely favorite, same thing, the books want you to take them, not falling for this one either, im taking St Johns.

Iowa st giving 10 pts??? Are they that good??? I don't think so. Books inflated this spread. Tex AM did a number on Texas, I don't think they will lose by 10.

Does anyone else see a backdoor cover here?? I do, well, I hope so since I'm picking Kentucky. Kentucky doesn't want to lose two games in a row, I think they hang tough.

Now that I don't have money on my games, watch, I'm going to start winning now

Your logic and rationale for taking TULSA -10 on the ML also seemed reasonable.

Before you start off on your new venture, you might want to go back and try and figure out why TULSA lost outright.

There are two answers.

Answer #1 is they didn't score enough points.

hi

hi

Buddy,
I ain't picking favorites like Tulsa anymore on moneyline or even straight bets, there are more value in the dogs from my notes, just gotta choose the right dogs to play each day, I guess u can say the same thing for favorites, but I'm going to focus on the dogs. We'll see how I do as I start picking only straight picks and mainly dogs from now on. Let's get'um!! :)

I hate to say it, but

you are on the wrong path.

(I don't even know why I'm doing this because I get the feeling you're more interested in humorous posting and being the center of attention than learning about handicapping, but maybe others can learn from reading this reply).

For starters, you might want to learn about the word "value" and how it applies to handicapping college basketball.

Before you get goofy with this "tip", I don't care if you become the Cyberspace Expert with the word "value", once you understand it fully, you have just solved 1/10,000 of the puzzle.

But knowing 1/10,000 th is better than where you are now.

(Learning about "value" will help you understand why TULSA lost outright).
