Laughing stock Monday.

Tuesday should be better.

Hey Hooks; that break-down you mentioned (home-away splits) would be interesting. I just don't know if I have the time (or patience) to retrieve the necessary data. We're talking 3 months of games that I would have to reassess. I think that the bonuses I give for home-field and the penalties I give for the visitor are fine. My main concern right now is just to find some damn winners.

return on investment breakdown for system picks
---------------------------------------------------------------------
(brewers, A's)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

brewers 66% (-149)+6 V.I.

briefly:
--Capuano making first start off DL
--brewers best in MLB vs lefties and face a soft one here.
--Pirates stick, bullpen, and home-field advantage have been garbage lately

-149 is 67.1 cents otd
66 x 0.671 = 44.286
34 x -1.......= -34
---------------------------------
..................10.286%

Not the greatest.
Probably the one I like most; Johnson and Burnett were trash coming off the DL, but Looper got the job done yesterday against the D'Backs (of freaking course he did...stiknkin' D'Backs).
Play on the Pirates for some easy cash as I'm feeling very unlucky right now.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

A's 67% (-157)+5 V.I.

briefly:
--A's with monster edge at starter; Blanton has been pretty sharp lately. Litsch is a dog.
--A's dropped the first but still did score 7 runs (and counting); they've been productive at the plate lately.
--Jays middle relief--which will (most likely) be needed--is a sore spot for the Jays

-157 is 63.7 cents otd
67 x 0.637 = 42.679
33 x -1.......= -33
---------------------------------
.....................9.679%

Figures...this one is even worse.

Today's board is not very attractive.

And I feel this coming over like a storm again...

That does me for today.
I've got some other things troubling me presently; somewhat hard to focus on these lines.
I'm going to try to keep posting for the duration of the season, but if July keeps kicking my ass, as it has so far, then I don't know if I'll be able to continue. My system is really quite easy to use but I've been trying to go the extra mile on it, what with June being a bit of a dissappointment; the extra time I'm putting in seems to be doing absolutely no good so I'm just going to stick to the basics and see if that works.
I dunno?looking at some other posts I see that I'm not the only one suffering right now, but I might be the only one of the lot who's foolish enough to think that they can write a book on the subject. My project, in this regard, has really stalled; if my system doesn't start feeding me some better sides then I might scrap the whole idea. My results, as a whole, have been okay but I'm looking for much greater consistency. The losses are really affecting me adversely; I've been doing this for long enough (about 6 years online and I was making plays for 6-8 years before that) that a loss should just be accepted as normal, but my extra effort this season had my expectations up to, probably, unreasonable levels. This endeavour that we have chosen is not an easy proposition.

With that being said, let me conclude before I choke on my ankle.

See you tomorrow (today).

Lost in happiness I knew no fears.
Innocence and love was all I knew?
?WAS AN ILLUSION."

You're doing all you can to handicap these games and are doing a great job.
Unfortunatly, you can't PLAY the games for these guys. Keep with it, you'll know soon enough to keep it going or wait for FOOTBALL :00hour
