Akron has been getting by somehow without playing all that great. Their guards are making habit of getting beat on the dribble and allowing their opposing guards to get into the paint pretty easily. Tonight they have the task of chasing Fowler and Rayson which won't be easy. The Zips probably played their worse 20 minutes of the season in the 2H vs Western and still won by 9 which says a lot about the Broncos.
To me, the notion of Akron going into the MAC's pre-season projected #1 team's gym tonight as the chalk is just flat out wrong. Think Central wins straight up in a high scoring game, possibly into the 150s, because CMU is just awful defensively,and statistically that is where Akron does have an edge but it probably won't be enough. Nice move my way on the number but it could go back up a bit. I still like CMU all the way down to -1
Leans to Ball St, NiU as well but just watching those. I honestly like every MAC game to go over tonight and that usually spells trouble so just went with the CMU total but see that has also gone up significantly.
