ytd.......32-26 (+11.21 units)

2 units.....cincinnati (+135) over colorado
2 units.....chicago cubs (-118) over san francisco
1 unit.......texas (+112) over toronto

reds have shown some signs of life the past week. they were left for dead a week ago today- but they took a couple games from the dodgers, and then from the padres. jennings has been a gas can for colorado this year after a solid rookie season. it seems like hitters are getting a much better read on him and hes not fooling anyone. reds capable of an offensive explosion in this ballpark.

kinda feel like this frisco/cubs line is trying to influence some giants money. san fran , at 18-6 on the year, is a home dog? and with one of their veterans on the mound? not trying to use azz-backward logic necessarily, but ill try wood and the cubs. my biggest gripe with wood is his control. hes capable of being the best pitcher in the entire national league- but his control is suspect from time to time. heres hoping he brings his good stuff tonight and has control of that nasty curve.

texas is simply a value play. both teams coming off high scoring series, and both bullpens arent overly fresh. i just think texas' bats have a little more pop and can win a slugfest here tonight

Wood owns the Giants.....I LOVE this pick.....I have capped it out, and every way you slice it, the Cubs win this one. The shady line even makes me plop more on it.

Good luck tonight

adding: 1 unit....detroit (+132) over baltimore

just not buying jason johnson as that big of a road chalk. obviously, tigers are forcing linesmakers to make detroit substantial dogs every game- but i think this is a game where a case could be made for a "pick em" type situation. tigers have been playing hard and were in damn near every game during their seattle-oakland west coast swing. you cant say that about a lot of teams (even good ones) that go out west. bonderman got a huge confidence building win- and he is capable of doing it again tonight

Gman....it is uncanny how many times we are thinking exactly the same thing. I was too embarrased to admit I was taking the Tigers tonight:D :D BUT I AM!!

Johnson has had some blister problems recently and his past performance against the Tigers is not good at all. I think at home....Detroit can sneak up on these guys tonight.

Going against my O's huh lol. J J had his worst start last outing and still KICKED ass. He said he felt terrible and played great. JJ has much talent but his confidence was always in the gutter the past yrs. This yr I finally think he realized what he has and how to use his talent. I like the UNDER tonight but I can't take the tigers and go against my O's lol

Playing:
O's UNDER 8 (-125) Gman it isnt +105, thats for the OVER....
Reds (+135)
Leaning towards Cubs (-115) (Like Wood over Reuter)

the cubbies over the giants is a gimmee; when a team has had a no-hitter pitched against them, do not try to pick the end of the losing streak that will ensue.

GOOD LUCK TONIGHT GMAN2....

AND I DONT MEAN TO USE YOUR THREAD AS MY OWN...BUT I HAVE A HARD TIME WITH THE STATEMENT THAT WOODS OWNS THE GIANTS....AT PAC BELL HE HAS AN 5.25 ERA...LIFETIME VS. THE GIANTS HE HAS AN 5.81 ERA ...IN THREE GAMES VS SANFRAN AWAY SINCE 2000 ..HE HAS GIVEN UP 3 RUNS 2X...7 RUNS 1X AND 5 RUNS 1X....IM NOT STARTING A BEEF BUT I DONT SEE THESE NUMBERS AS "OWNING" A TEAM...

GOOD LUCK TONIGHT BIG TEASE...

cooz...i know you mean well, BUT I am afraid I have to get a little snooty with you. This isnt the first time people have questioned my stats....well I just dont have time to break it all down....But if I must....

Lifetime stats versus Kerry Wood

Aurilia 4-18 (.222)
Bonds 4-17 (.235)
Benard 3-13 (.231)
Grissom 2-12 (.167)
Snow 1-12 (.083)
Durham 1-9 (.111)
Santiago 1-8 (.125)
Alfonzo 1-7 (.143)
Perez 3-8 (.375) WOO HOO!!

Looks like COMPLETE DOMINATION to me. I dont care what past ERA's are...it is not important. Players switch teams every year. What each individual hitter does is what is important. Sorry if I sound snooty, but I am tired of people questioning my information.

Good luck tonight
