really like this card today. would be very disappointed if it doesnt turn a profit.

2 units.....boston (-144) over kansas city
2 units.....san diego (+125) over montreal
2 units.....chicago (+145) over oakland

boston....still feel like fossum offers the best value of all the red sox pitchers (meaning reasonable risk/reward). hes capable of getting deep into games (thus decreasing the number of innings the bullpen can fu/ck up) and he is gonna be nice and fresh- having only thrown a half inning last start before getting ejected.

san diego...betting on peavy...right now, even though lawrence is their #1- peavy has shown he can be a solid pitcher for the fathers... both teams slumping...but hernandez is always capable of getting hit hard....pads get this one

chicago......betting on beuhrle and against mulder..one of the hardest things to do in baseball (since they implemented the unbalanced schedule) is to beat the same pitcher twice in the span of a week...its even tougher to beat a good pitcher... sox need a quality start from beuhrle...mulder has been damn tough, but feel like the sox make the necessary adjustments and do enough to get to mulder this time around

I like your pick on SD and am on them as well I think Peavy is a good pitcher, the only thing that scares me is Hernandez's numbers against SD he is 7-1 with a 3.71 ERA in 11 starts , and he has won his last 4 against them. Granted those starts were with a better Giants team, but still some pitchers seem to have teams numbers,

just a gut feeling - but really think the tigs want this game for maroth. he deserved such a better fate than he received last week. he dominated the birds for damn near 8 innings and somehow took the loss when detroit played bad news bears style baseball to close the game. and hey- even the tigers are capable of a 3 or 4 game winning streak.
