illinois-chicago.....arguably the two best teams in the state meeting up in this one at the united center. you can make a case that the flames have the better guard play in this one as a tandem. but at very worst, theyre not outclassed. flames a very solid, veteran team. both teams are nothing to write home about in the shooting department. illinois has some size, but uic is not gonna be overmatched on the glass. when playing elite teams, its imperative for the underdog to have good guards. uic has em in bailey and banks. theyre not gonna be intimidated at all. to their credit, illinois has performed well in the united center when theyve played here. but this one has possible upset written all over it in my opinion.

montana.....somewhat of a play against unlv, and a little bit of a play on montana...not sure if montana is ever going to turn the corner, but this team has talent there, although it looks to be latent talent at this point. once conference play starts, they could surprise some people. perhaps pat kennedy is their problem :shrug: . unlv is one of the worst teams in the country when it comes to putting teams away. they let way too many inferior teams hang around. rebels will always be one of my favorite underdogs to bet on, but in the role of a chalk theyre inconsistent. if they let montana hang around, it become a much closer game than expected. with montana having a poor SU record, it looks like a mismatch but theyre not a bad team. just havent put it together yet.
