posted plays continue to gravitate to .500 after bradley comes up a big loser on sunday. the big run in vegas is now but a war story told by buddies but it is not of this board. here we're still trying to get our feet out of the water. five plays for tonight:
nc state -7: my home team but feel like i'm betting with both teams' recent tendencies at a reasonable number.
richmond -4: for years i watched jerry wainwright's teams at uncw turn the corner in january after they meshed in his defensive system. i get the feeling this year's spiders have done likewise.
ga teach -3-: heels are fresh off taking my money at wake this weekend (i really hate it when that happens) but they're still going to have to show me they're willing to commit to a full game of playing defense in this ugly scheduling spot. i'll bet my dough they don't.
baylor +16: probably a sucker bet but i gotta bite. with the return of thomas and gunn, this is a better baylor team than the one that played with determination in austin. gutsy win at home vs tex a&m brought a standing ovation after the game from the fans. hard factor to quantify into a line.
furman -2-: decent number for the paladins at home given davidson's big home win vs college of charleston, coupled with the fact that furman is winless against them in seven tries. but furman very impressive knocking off ga so in statesboro. also, little noted but in the last two years, davidson is 2-14 su, 2-9 ats in conference road games, with the two wins and covers coming at the citadel.
