i think im gonna make a donation to the northern iowa athletic fund at the end of the season. panthers have been a cash cow for me the entire season.

another home dog on tuesday with a good chance to win outright:

virginia (+5.5) over wake forest
virginia moneyline (+210) over wake forest
(heavier on the spread though)

* cavaliers have won three of their last four games (including two wins over ranked opponents -- georgia tech and north carolina)

*this series has been home-dominated the last 7 meetings. home team has won every single one. deacons havent won in charlottesville since 1999-2000 season.

*wake pretty much locked into their acc tournament seed in a sense. regardless of the outcome of this game, the wake/ncstate game on saturday will decide who gets the #2 and #3 seeds in the acc tourney. winner gets 2, loser gets 3.

*virginia comes into this one well-rested. theyve been off since their win over carolina on 2/24. nice scheduling break down the stretch for the cavs.

*senior night for one of my favorite players in college basketball the last few years: todd billet. they couldnt possibly lose on his night. their only option is to win ;)

sun tzu:

like both of those plays you listed as well. thinking providence line could come down to 1.5 or 1 as im sure most will be of the "pitt wont lose two in a row" belief. ill wait it out- but i agree on the play. will be looking for your big 12 post on wednesday

packer:

yes, horizon is all fu/cked up in terms of how its set up this year. these games are at campus sites tomorrow. but the weird catch is that for as long as butler remains alive in the horizon tourney this season- they will get a home game, and theyre not even the defending champion. bulldogs will play at hinkle even if they play a higher seed. theyre changing it around next year, but its all wacked out this year

Gman- really surprised at this line. Virginia is playing tough at the right time, esp. at home. Even when it loses at home, the margin is tight.

thanks IE. the fine print on the bottom of that pdf bracket tries to make sense of it all (explaining the tie-breakers). but butler has weird hosting rights in this horizon tourney. and what has determined the seeding is a little unorthodox.

gman, I respect your knowledge of the Horizon League. Do you have any opinion on the Loy.Chi. at Wright State game. I'm leaning towards Wright . Any comments would be appreciated.;)
Thanks Boiler
