Okay, I don't know much about either team. However, I know Memphis is playing their 3rd game in 11 days:scared They just played last Thursday, probably had an easy practice and watched film on Friday, practiced hard on Saturday and Sunday which are unusual practice days, then dealt with the death of a fallen teammate on Monday (my prayers go out to his family).
Now, they are expected to be prepared? I think Memphis will be unprepared and their locker room will be in disarray. They just lost one of their teammates to a drive by shooting.
Marshall has lost every game, but their competition has been solid (losing @ Miami, @ Cincy, and vs. West Va). They were actually up 7 at the half on West Virginia before falling apart in the 2nd half. The loss to New Hampshire is scary, but let's face it, these upper echelon I-AA schools are pretty damn good... heck, BC got a great game from UMass last weekend. Citadel gave Wisky a scare for a half. Also, Morris was injured part of the game vs. New Hampshire. He should be healthy tonight.
Morris is the best QB and probably athlete on the field IMO. Marshall also has superior WR's IMO based on statistics. So far, Marshall hasn't run the ball, but they have faced 3 solid defensive teams. Memphis has faced the little sisters of the poor and still have terrible offensive stats.
Let me be clear, I wouldn't play this game on a normal Saturday, but it's the only game on the docket today so I'm going to play it.
