Back in action after a long recovery from a bad auto accident back in June. I can finally sit at my desk for a little study time.
Rain expected for both games tonight as the two stadiums are about a 15 minute drive from each other. As bad as it's been for the Zips lately this game still has a major impact as to who will represent the Eastern division in the MAC championship game in Detroit. In Akron's two recent road losses it should be noted that starting QB Kyle Pohl was out while recovering from a concussion. He will be back tonight which should be a big boost for the Zips after his replacement tossed 4 interceptions vs. the Cards. This will certainly help the Zips but does not excuse a defense that gave up 29 unanswered points to a bad Ball St team. I expect a much better effort tonight but still think the number is a little high. I can get BG +7 (-120) right now and think that looks like a play. Like the under play here even more as the Zips are a grind it out type team that lacks explosiveness.
In Kent, what can you say?? The Flashes have no offense and can't get out of their own way. Rain tonight would only enhance Toledo's advantage and speed on the offensive side of the ball. Both teams have been horrible ATS but the Rockets are a much better side tonight.
