small plays on:

manhattan over
butler under

both fdu and manhattan love to get out and run. fully expecting both teams to creep up into the high 70s or even low 80s. manhattan has a way of getting to the line a zillion times at home as well. expecting the track shoes for this one.

butler and miami were bunced from the horizon and mac tourneys because they played inexplicably poor defense when it counted most. sometimes you have to worry about motivation in the nit but both of these teams are very well coached and shouldnt deviate from their strength, which is halfcourt basketball. so a bit of a 'return to normalcy' should be in the cards tonight for these two teams. butler at home is a bitch to play and miami has hardly been a road juggernaut offensively this year.

akron should have the "woe is us" out of them now that 20:00 of basketball is in the books. zips should make a push and keep it right around the original spread

akron (+2) 2nd half

those worked out so well, going with one more:

delaware state under 128

very simply - these brothers get after it and play hard as shit on defense. not sure if northern arizona has seen this kind of ball pressure all season. as long as the hornets arent fatigued, this game should stay close and low scoring.

Great calls on all so far, keep cashing 'em.

Even though I took a hit on the Temple game I'm really proud of the Zips tonight. They endured a horrible start and showed great character in a tough environment. The Creighton game should be a pretty good match up as well.

Also very nice to know that even though he was not there tonight Chaneys career was ended by Akron. I never liked the guy.

spang-
any clue what it takes to get a home game in the nit? you would think akron could have made a good case for themselves considering how dominant they were at the jar this year.

I would assume that its strictly a dollars thing. Not sure how many were in Philly tonight but Akron would not have had many more that 3,000 if that. Certainly Creighton will fill a lot of seats that Akron could not.

action galore.

delaware state (+6) for the 2nd half

game being played completely at the hornets pace. gonna be awfully tough to blow this team out. when they hang around in games they are dangerous. ask kent state

delaware state is one of the best kept secrets in college basketball. olympic just hung a 15.5 on friday nights game in louisville. no way in hell that number stays that high once tipoff gets closer. louisville cant score consistently right now and delaware state can flat out lock you down on D. travel from arizona to kentucky is a bit of a concern but the game will have such a slow pace that it shouldnt matter.

delaware state (+15.5)
