illinois (-2.5) 1 unit. once again, ye olde 'unranked team favored over a ranked team'. don't really love this play though, as too much is being made about indiana stealing a recruit away from illinois and how pissed off illinois will be tonight.
st. johns (+6) 1 unit. if st johns lost to syracuse, this would be a 2-unit play. as it is, i still like it about as much as anyone can like putting money on the johnies; i'm just not getting quite as much value as i would have liked. this is really an anti-notre dame play. they have played 2 conference road games with their freshman point guard, losing by 18 & 15. of course, new york can be a good place to get your first road win (see uconn). but until the irish win on the road, i'll continue to go against them.
