the tuesday tequila play has never, never lost. ok, this is the first ever. i don't normally drink much tequila on a tuesday night. but the mood struck me, so i'm sipping some don julio a?ejo. quite tasty. but i digress...
drake (+4) 1 unit (hey, i never said the tuesday tequila play was particularly strong) this one looks too easy. but so have the last few drake games. and yet, the fighting snack cakes continue to win. since i'm finally jumping back on their bandwagon, there's a pretty damn good chance they'll lose tonight. anyways... drake pulled away late to beat the redbirds by 6 earlier this year, but they did it without josh young. young has played 38 minutes each of their last 2 games, averaging 21 points (on only 11 shots!), so i'd say he's back to full strength. drake has done nothing wrong so far in conference... have to believe they'll continue their winning ways.
buffalo (+1.5) 1 unit. am i really taking the godawful bulls? yeah. the dregs of the mid-american conference hook up tonight (any way we can throw ball state in there and make it a 3-way?). this is normally the situation where a terrible team gets their one conference win of the year. an indifferent crowd yawns as the bulls push the tempo... next thing you know, they are asking "we lost to THOSE guys?".
tennessee (-9.5) 1 unit. speaking of teams pushing tempo... is there a more frustrating team to bet on than these volunteers? it seems every game they shoot themselves to a big lead, then shoot themselves right out of it and have to hang on at the end. i'm better off not watching and just checking the score in the morning. hopefully when they're trying to ice this game from the line, it is not wayne chism or jp prince at the line. both shoot 49%. from the line. really. you can look it up.
