St Louis at MONTREAL

Two hot pitchers hook up in MONTREAL with KILE and VAZQUEZ. Kile has been getting NO support as he's 2-3 in last five despite 1.61 ERA, while VAZQUEZ is 4-1 with 2.51 ERA.
Lifetime, KILE is 8-1 against MONTREAL with an ERA of 2.31 and a WHIP of 1.146, while VAZQUEZ is 1-3 with 4.76 ERA vs STL. MONTREAL bats have gone cold as they have scored 1 run five times, and 2 runs once in their last six games vs RH Starters!
eek.gif
The ONLY two games they've managed MORE than 3 runs were BOTH vs LH starters. STL is also 6-3 this year on TURF but only 20-30 overall on the road. MONT has also gone 7-1 in Vazquez's last 8 starts.

Having said all that, my feeling is STL is ready to make a move in the playoff picture, and MONT is well, still Montreal. With Kile's success vs EXPOS, and STL back to almost full strength with DREW, I'm looking for them to pull out a low scoring one tonite. MONTREAL's bats will awaken in this series, I just don't think it will be tonite!

STL -120

San Diego at PHILA

A pass for me at this point... look at JT SNEAKS comments for info on this game. Was leaning to SD, but will either pass or play on PHIL or the OVER. Need UMP info first...

PASS

Arizona at FLORIDA

CLEMENT is very tough at home and ALBIE LOPEZ is still LOPEZ, and even with his gem in his last outing vs MONTREAL, he's still terrible and a go against for me. FLORIDA at home vs RH are +1590 and are averaging over 5 rpg at home vs RH. ARIZ is one of the best teams on the road, having gone +870 vs RH, but I feel FLA bats are hotter right now, the pitching matchup is greatly in our favor, and FLA BP is all rested and ready to go. I'm taking the FISH!

FLORIDA -110 **DOUBLE PLAY**

I'm missing something... seems everyone and there brother is on CLEVELAND tonite, but not me. I like MINNY in this game. REED pitched a good game for MIN his first time out, while SABATHIA was getting BATHED at home by OAKLAND's Bay Bats, and MINNY is 8-3 at home vs LEFTIES. AND, I get + money to play the home team fighting for a playoff spot?? Hmmmm... MINNY may play small ball to win, but if they win, who cares?? ALSO, many are on the CUBS at home against COLO and Neagle, and while I agree, ROCKIES suck and NEAGLE has too, Tapani is 1-8 in his last 9 and I can't see laying -160 on a guy the CUBS don't support. He gets NOTHING to work with... The UNDER is the only play I see there, although I played the CUBS in my parlay above, it was more of a play AGAINST Neagle, then I looked closer.

MINN +105
CUBS Under 8.5 -120

just some food for thought to go with the plays...

LA is 27-17 OVER on the road this year, 6-2 in ADAM's last 8 starts, and MCKNIGHT's last 10 starts have gone OVER 8-2.

MILW is 2-10 UNDER when HAYNES starts on the road, CHEN pitched well in his first try as a MET, giving up only 2 ER, and neither team is hitting the ball.... don't see much more than 6 scored here.

HOUSTON is rolling, getting good pitching, good D, and timely hitting. ATLANTA is UNDER .500 at home vs RH starters, going 13-16, and you want me to lay -220??? Maddux may be going but he's not UN-beatable. He rarely goes nine anymore, and since his games are low scoring or close, he gets PH for late, thus the BP. I'll take WAGNER in a tight game over anything ATLANTA tosses out there, and HOUSTON's bats dominate those of ATLANTA. NO WAY this line is justifiable, MILICKI has pitched well since coming to HOUSTON and I look for him to keep the STROS close enough to cover the +1.5.

adding:

KC -135
They're playing BALT!

Well, besides that, SUPPAN is a better pitcher at home, going 6-3 there. Maduro is a reliever filling in and is due for a letdown in my opinion. He's gone six or 7 in both his starts and I think fatigue gets to him tonite! KC is 12-5 in Game 2 after a loss also, so I look for them to rebound.

Detroit at TEXAS

This game should be at 14 runs by the fifth the way these two have HURLED (and or puked) on the mound this year. DET is struggling, going 3-7 in last 10, and are terrible against RH overall, but -930 on the road. TEX on the other hand, as bad as they've been are actually +300 at home vs LH. PETTYJOHN is no BIG UNIT and should get rocked tonite! TEXAS has played well since JUNE and look for that to start back up tonite! TEXAS plays very few 1 run games, so if you like TEX, lay the 1.5 and GET juice back!
cool.gif
as note by JT Sneaks awhile back.

TEX -1.5 +135
OVER 12 EVEN

here's the DESSERT MENU for those late diners that haven't sampled anything yet!

Chicago at ANAHEIM

Kip Wells has not been in good form in awhile, and for that matter RAPP is a fill in pitcher. Someone to give you five or six every fifth day, but for whatever reason, the HALOS don't score for the guy. He gives up 2, they score 1, it's incredible. ANGELS are playing great ball, just came home from a great road trip to BOS and NY and should be ready for the SOX. While the ANGELS were dealing with NY in the bronx, CHI was home babysitting the D RAYS. I look for a let down game by ANA, but see them still winning. RAPP will give them a good six or seven and then they'll shut down the SOX. CWS are averagin 3.8 on the road vs RH, while ANA is averagin 3.9 at home vs RH, so I'm looking at ANA and UNDER to start the late nite action!

Anaheim -120 and UNDER 9.5

Toronto at SEATTLE

TORONTO is terrible on the road vs RH, averaging around 3 rpg. TERRIBLE! BOTH teams have tremendous UNDER records away/home, so I only see one play. UNDER CITY! SEATTLE seems to play even better on the road, and just takes care of business at home, so look for that to continue. May be a slight angle tonite on SEA since there is bad blood between these two teams, and TOR nixed a deal for Shannon Stewart, SEA may send a message, but I look for a lower scoring game.

UNDER 9.5 -120

Boston at OAKLAND

Oakland is the consensus play on the board but I'll pass on the side. SABERHAGEN is a veteran pitcher, and has shown he may be back from surgery. BOS struggles on the road vs LH, averaging 3.6 RPG, and OAK has a tremendous UNDER record at home... that's my play again. UNDER the generous 9.

UNDER 9-120

One of these days I'll just jump on RAYMOND's back and let him carry me to the CASHIER CAGE!
